You are in your lucky day, free math lesson for you.

5.807 km * 53 laps = 307.771 km. Correct 2004 race length, based on the correct layout used.
5.821 km * 53 laps = 308.531 km. Incorrect 2004 length, based on the incorrect layout, which was not used.

The gap between these two is 0.742 km. The 2019 race length is

    5.807 km * 52 laps () = 301.964 km.

2004 Race Length - 2019 Race Length = 5.807 km (exactly one lap).
    Incorrect 2004 Race Length - 2019 Race Length = 6.567 km. Not 7.

How about I throw in a spelling lesson for free? Repeat with me:

    MY.
    SOURCES.
    ARE.
    WRONG.

    Cool story bro.

I guess I have found out by myself what others have warned before. End of the derailing of this thread from my end.

Keep your hair on, lads, it's just a video game. Anyway, it's really beginning to smell good from the kitchen, and I'm so excited to have a taste of what Renato and his elite chefs are cooking for us.

In a squeaky voice, at an even higher pitch than a Schumi-era F1 car engine and spoken very fast: "Oh la la, that is some fine cheese! My word, it's hot, hot, hot.. now, serve it quickly!"

Still not responding on facts I see. We are down to mathematics and whether the delta distance was 5.8, 6.5 or 7 km as if this would make a difference on the simple matter that 2000s F1 had insane grip and cornering ability as their overall race duration shows (they are often much faster or a few times a bit slower but definitely comparable no matter what you say) compared to 15-20 years of materials and aero evolution despite being less edgy than other generations because of the inherent behavior of the grooved tire, while recent generations of F1 have insane straight speed and much less cornering ability. It's quite undeniable physics.
Also since you are the TRUTH, you could possibly cancel the piece of comment you put in your post with words that are not in my message as if they were mine. Surely someone who cares so much about sources wouldn't want to make such a mistake.
    Enough derailing the thread indeed.

There was a test using the 2003 williams with slicks driven by old ralf schumacher and despite him being old and "not trying hard enought" the lap was very close to the laps made by top current F1 cars

considering how old those cars are I'll say thats pretty impressive no?

Most impressively, they still have comparable lap times in certain tracks despite being so much slower in a straight line and so down on max power and torque. Which gives a sense of how faster they go around corners compared to other generations of F1s including the most recent.
