Used AccuForce systems may go for around $400, and are a ffb-tweakers dream in terms of tuning options. I still consider buying one when I come across such opportunity, even though I have the SC2.
Oh wait, my son has my old one, may be time to borrow it. :)

From what I saw on reviews, the Cammus C5 seems like insane bang for the buck, its performance is impressive for what it is (a 5 Nm DD at 200 dollars).

But I always recommend to upgrade rig, pedals and displays first, before upgrading wheelbase.

And the pedals, while only a 2 pair without a clutch ATM, are only $/£50 more, meaning you go from 250 to 300 for a full wheel/pedal set to start out/upgrade with...gotta say, I'm loving the DD arms race going on because they're now well and truly in the hands of the people! I expect them to be the new standard not long from now

Well, when I try to order from Germany it starts at 249$ for just the wheelbase plus shipping of 70$s, so that value isn't that great anymore when the Fanatec CSL DD package with pedals is available for 399€.

I think something that has been forgotten in this wheel conversation is that many people don't have a simracing chasis, so they just clamp their wheel onto their computer desk. This is how I do it, infact it wouldn't surprise me if that method is still how most people do it. Now from what I've heard (and it might be different now) you're really gonna want a chasis if you're gonna get a DD wheel. So for many people the cost of the jump to DD includes a simracing chasis (and that's not something I'd risk being cheap with either).

There are table clamps available for all of these cheaper (and a bit weaker in torque) DD wheels, so they are intended to be usable on a normal desk as well.

LC Pedals need a rig more than DD bases do. And you should be buying good pedals before good wheelbases.

The most interesting part for me is those LC100 pedals that nobody is talking about but are there on their website...

I use an old table(probably from the 80s) from a school. The furniture they use, especially the tables are heavy, stable and have 0 flex... But I mean not a mm of flex. This one is a steel frame and a very dense compressed fibre as a top.
I have a CSL DD 8nm cranked up, and it doesn't budge even a little. For the full-fat DD users 15nm and up, just get a proper rig. But guys and gals up to an entry level DD might find they don't have to spend big$$$ on a rig to begin with. Find discarded school furniture and use that money on decent pedals or something.

I drove over 600 miles round trip to get my Moza R5 at Micro Center in Dallas right before XMAS week. Great purchase. Comes with very good clamp set. I kind of made mistake to bolt my wheel base to my extreme racing wheel stand. Ended up taking off the part that the wheel base bolts to. In order to be easier to bolt wheel base to. Then I could not get the wheel stand wheel base tight enough to keep from rotating. Eventually stripped the allen bolts. Purchased new ones and better. Except still the bolts loosing after a few sessions. The extreme racing wheel stand that I have is one bulky super sturdy design. I just think the sim wheel mount could of been way better designed and perhaps the newer ones are. Will most likely eventually replace my wheel stand as it is just to bulky - guessing 50 lbs plus. Would something with similar sturdiness but lighter weight and more flexibility in configuration. I would say definetly the first thing I will examine in next wheel stand is how the wheel base mount is designed.

I just put mine on an $120 Amazon desk and it's working like a champ :D. Don't have the space for a full rig at the moment.

Ever since I bought my first Fanatec wheel base in 2020, I've used a Wheelstand Pro. Works perfectly well for my needs. I upgraded to the GT DD wheel base with CSL pedals and a load cell brake kit and the stand stills works extremely well.
