Wifi can be used successfully by some... But not all... Some can even act as hosts fine...

You can definitely tell when there's a 4G or slower wifi user on a dedicated server... On p2p it's a bit less obvious...

I use wifi with good success. I have a real 40MB/s line and it's solid with no fluctuations (which is what f...s the MP really).
Obviously I take precautions to avoid interferences (like maybe don't put your mobile and ipad 10 cm from the PC??). Other than that it works well. There is no silver bullet in this story unfortunately

 

All those news about Le Mans and the classic and modern endurance cars coming to the game is like my wildest AMS 2 dreams becoming reality, I have nothing else to add

As a golden rule, avoid WIFI while playing online games... nothing beats a wired connection for consistent and predictable signal.

When I saw the image of the safety car I almost passed out!
The track light system and marshals with their flags would be sweet too.
I think kart cross will be sick to drive.
We expect better fine-tuning to oval racing and possibly a Nascar-inspired league in the future...?

This update is aiming to be the biggest leap forward for the game, can't wait for it!

That's an incredible dev update. I don't even know where to start just to process all that info. And then to read that there's even more info to come. Going to have to re-read this one several times me thinks. Congratulations @ReizaStudios, Congratulations.

 

When Reiza told us 2023 gonna be the year for endurance racers, it seems they really meant it

That's an amazing amount of promises for the future.
Can't see any competiton in how much content is delivered on us in a given time. Really hope one day we will have a stable multiplayer to reliably enjoy all of this in proper league racing.

 

Did you guys know this is a real life photo so Reiza isn't teasing a Ligier or else right now?

 

Rally Cross alone made my jaw hit the floor but you guys just threw content haymakers into the mix.

Reiza I can't stop playing AMS2 it's my go to SIM.

 

What else can you say? Every other developer should look at Reiza for how to do it.

Fair enough i’ve never really raced ovals much in ams2 mp, but ive never had a ping issue in cars like the brazilian stock cars

Good Sir, you clearly have outdone yourself.

 

They are right on the limit for the speed... But you'd still see a few issues if you were to drive against another driver from the same country as you on a dedicated server from outside your continent... Mainly ghost bumps where you are a few meters from the car in front... Even happens in the Formula Juniors...

But due to the slower speeds one can usually react in time and give enough room to compensate... But in the faster cars and on ovals there's no time to react...

 

I would say that they need to fix the issues with multiplayer stability and add some requested features to it before slapping a scheduled server system on top. We don't want the potential playerbase to just bounce off because the experience is unreliable.
