I've suspected this for a long time now. The target demographic for simracing is 30-60, also stands to reason they'd spend the most dosh on equipment.

 

Probably because they are the ones who grew up with racing games and earn money.

 

Young at heart, old enough to know better, and too old to care.

 

Dont check your electricity bill after this update - at least if you wanna keep your good mood

It's also because my generation is the last that will have anysort of disposable income, and we have to flex on Gen Z and Alpha with all our useless crap. (He says surrounded by diecast cars on the right, anime figures on the left, and firearms on the wall behind him.)

Power hungry for sure, frequently hits 400w for the gpu alone, and I'm sure a 13700k isn't exactly the pinnacle of frugality and sheer efficiency either.

Funny thing is I never shop for rgb, never. But it turns out the stuff I prefer for other reasons than rgb, have massive rgb on them. Fans as well.
Asrock Taichi is rgb overkill, easily engulf your entire case in rainbow.

Yeah great excuse for illuminating the whole room with your fancy disco lighting.
Im allways going the opposite way because I have dismantled leds in both fans, soundcards and g-cards if they even try to illuminate anything.
Its often hard to get rid of
