Automobilista 2 June 2026 Development Update - Pt 2

I'm so impressed with the drying line...It looks amazing! I did some races rain to dry and the ai was pretty good. I'm really into the drying track because to me the track becomes like a living thing, with dynamic wet and dry parts...How long until we can try this wet weather update?

First of all, thank you for all the work you've put into the Historical Endurance content for Automobilista 2. It's been fantastic to see these iconic GT1 cars brought to life.

I have a question: is your goal to create historically complete team lineups whenever possible, or do you primarily focus on selecting the most iconic and representative cars of each era?

For instance, if a manufacturer is already represented in a class, are you interested in adding significant evolutionary models later on—provided they played a major role in motorsport history?

I would really appreciate your answer!

While they would prefer to do both, here is an answer why the "historically complete team lineups" option is not viable:

So on the new wet weather video at around 13:40 the AI moves over to defend off the dry line. Would a driver stay on the dry line and force the opponent to overtake them on the wet line?

Same, I'm really hoping for some more prototypes, we definitely need them with a GT grid this amazing (especially for historic Le Mans and ALMS). I'm still hopeful we should get some reveals with any upcoming teasers/promo material. Really looking forward to this update!

 

Exactly! For example if you select the ALMS 2005 Preset we only get the Audi in LMP1 class
