Disappointing to hear about the licensing issues, but reading the incredible progress and new features that have or are to be added has more than made up for it.
    Thank you Reiza

Even better with the scalars and tyres suppliers. Much more variation in the field.

Once modders get on it, it will be great to do races in a terrible car and fight for points and it actually handle worse than a top car. Currently a bit immersion breaking using custom liveries when you can get pole in a "Minardi".

Oh man this is all amazing!
So glad we're getting graining, it's a big part of racing IRL that I've missed in the sim. Gotta treat those tyres right!
Performance scalars are actually going to be a game changer for modders and skin packs.
AI setups and variability in general is always a plus in my books.
The licensing issues suck, but that's just part of the ups and downs of licensing deals

    I'm looking forwards to dri-
    WAIT.
    no it can't be...
    A FRIGGIN LISTER STORM

    I need a lie down.

Hey Renato , dont want to bother you, but with the next update having an Endurance focus again , will the Save Feature finally arrive?
I finally want to have proper 4-6 Hour Endurance races with all these Awesome cars you are adding . But Family and work wont allow me to … thats why the Mid Session Save is really needed , hope you can help out a Sim Racing Father of 3 Kids there ;) ):

The Lister Storm will be part of the GT1 2005 field yea? Same as the non-Maranello?

If you truly don´t want to bother let´s keep the focus on what is included in the +2,500 words I just wrote about the next couple of game updates :)

Father of 3 myself BTW; if you caught the 2026 Dev Preview you know we have this planned for one of the updates this year thinking of those on the same boat as us ;)

Lovely update and shows the scope of changes so hopefully it explains why it takes a while to put together. Add shenanigans with licensing and it's clearly going to be a rather lengthy endeavour.

Keep doing what you're doing Reiza - world needs developer that are aiming for improvements rather than cashing out and moving on to a next never finished thing.

Hi! First post from a lurker but long time fan :)
Just want to say thanks for everything and that Im very sorry for all the issues you guys had with this license issues. You've tackled that in a very professional and open way.

Im a huge McLaren fanatic so I want to say thank you for choosing McLaren and also to let us, owners, to still keep the other brands. I love the Brabhams so it would be a pitty to loose them. I dont know if it was even on the plans, but its also a pitty that now theres no way to have cars the Turbo Renaults from the 70's, but hopefully it will be possible to have generic models close to the real thing.

Thats it, um muito obrigado aqui de Portugal ;)

What a great update to the update! I can't wait to download the updates!

Seriously, it's going to be so much fun thrashing the 90s and 2000s F1 cars around the Hungaroring! Tweaking the BOP of some classes! Tyre wars! And then the friggin' Lister Storm coming in hot with multiple friends!

    Hi Renato,
First of all, thank you for the transparency regarding the licensing situation and for taking the time to explain it in detail.
One thing I'm still unclear about, however, is the release timing for v1.6.9.8. Prior to these licensing complications, the update seemed to be on track for this weekend, but after reading Part 2 I'm not sure if that is still the case.
Should we now expect the release sometime next week, or is the target still this weekend?
Thanks again for keeping us informed.

I’m sorry to hear about the licensing issues. That must be tough to deal with after all your efforts. Thanks for being so transparent about it. For me, the fictional models work great and capture the spirit of the era anyway. So I’m really happy to see another Milano approaching. :D

What matters to me is the dedication and craftsmanship behind the game, and this update shows that once again.
I love that there is always attention to detail: puddles forming on the track, tyre graining, heat haze from exhausts.
Reiza isn’t just adding content, they’re adding soul.

Can’t wait to enjoy the new tracks, layouts and cars. Thank you for your hard work!

That Lister Storm in that final screenshot was a nice little surprise. It's unfortunate about the licensing situation, though I thankfully already decided to pick up the affected packs during prior sales at least, the hi-tech most recently. Good set of cars.
