Changes to the tires are most welcome, but they make it more urgent than ever that League admins can see the tires each car is using. Our league has mandatory compound changes and it's on the honor system. Neither telemetry not visuals help police these rules.

With regard to rain, does this mean that rain will be graphically more like in iRacing and less like frosty snow flakes falling on the window?

 

Bought 4 copies of both DLCs. One set for a friend and 3 for my alter account. All of them have been activated on Steam.

 

NGL its really going to be interesting to see livery makers work with Customizable Car Performance Scalars, one of the bigger "this is cool and unique"'s of this update.

 

Renato, can we expect multiple different tire compounds and tire strategies for AI in the future? Maybe even in 1.7?

 

The update sounds amazing, for gameplay I especially love the new supported tyre branding and the custom performance scaling which I note is for both single and multiplayer.
Couple of Questions
1. is custom ai (drivers) support going to be added to multiplayer in this update or a future update - that’s the icing on top of the cake.
2. Will the tyre support in time expand to other f1 models such as when Goodyear and Pirelli in the 80s? Or have support to add your own tyre textures if said brands can’t be used for licensing reasons?

 

Looking forward to the real life performance of the 97 Lola or 92 Andrea Moda being replicated in all of their terribleness

 

I was looking forward to see some further updates. They sure werent disappointing. But then, that Lister Storm and the Milano...I am just lost for words...

 

It's so fantastic to see everyone here supporting the great team at Reiza (despite Renato's assurances and modesty). Really goes to show how much of a cult following a dedicated and passionate team of artists can generate if their vision and the consumers vision aligns well. I wish all the best to the team despite the setback and want everyone to know that Reiza dev updates and game updates are some of the most unusually exciting gaming related things that happen for me.

Not for existing player. For new player, it will be limited for a limited time. And anyway, we're still talking about F1 cars.

I disagree on this point. For offline championships, it's good to have top-tier drivers to beat. A very homogeneous grid makes the results too random and can have the opposite effect in terms of challenge.

Regarding licensing, it's part of the business. Other titles like RF2 and RacerRoom have had to remove a certain "horse logo" and even some tracks. Reiza has been one of the least affected, but as we can see, it's handling the situation in the best possible way.

Finally, the new HUD seems to have hit the mark. The transparency and contrast problems have been resolved, and it's great to know that the old layout will remain available for those who prefer it.

But the renault are not in the game yet so i was wondering will they be release as generic or not

 

So just to properly understand the licesing situation, does it mean that in future updates you might be forced remove existing content because the license does not allow for it to be in the game anymore? Or the content made available under the previous license terms will never be affected in the future?

 

They will be released for free while the licensing is sorted out, then i think the sentiment is that they will have to be converted to "generic" models (that will probably still look very much similar

 

Love seeing the new HUD improvements !
I also hope that in VR-these elements will be see-through in the same way.
Disappointed that the Relative Leaderboard has been downgraded from 3 ahead and 3 behind, to only 2 ahead and 2 behind.

 

Wonderful update as always, i didn't even expect much things like graining and others that are coming in this update and that's with such licensing problems awesome work reiza!
And all that is for free too.. I only have one question: are the Mclaren cars will be included in this update or not

 

I also hope the option for throttle/brake input returns from the old HUD as well, looks great otherwise

I don‘t have time for Beta Testing, but I would like to know whats being worked on. You could spice it up with early access to a new version, discounted DLC prices or special liveries.
