If you have the game, you don't have to worry about anything. They'll arrive for free. For the F1 McLarens, I recommend purchasing the Brazilian Legends DLC NOW, which currently costs €3.75. It includes all of Senna and Piquet's cars (McLaren, Lotus, Brabham). You'll keep them forever

The F1 stuff, I really appreciate the explanation - single seater racing isn't really my thing anyway so not a big problem personally.

Good to hear you'll look more into AI-to-AI racecraft in future, that's my biggest immersion breaker in the game at the moment.

And then the big one for me... the 2005 endurance pic with the Lister and generic model. I am hyped to the max for this and will definitely be picking up the 90s-00s tracks for it in the meantime. I want to say thank you for expanding and adding such depth to this era.

Hungaroring is very nice to have too; I'm a little disappointed it won't be one of those premium tracks with historic versions though, unless that is the case and I understood it wrong.

 

If some players dont have some of the branded cars how will skin packs work

 

This is a good question - my hope would be that the generic models will be very similar to the real ones, so modders can just tweak the liveries slightly (so you would have a licensed livery or generic livery to pick from depending on what content you have).

Incorrect, here is how it worked last time it was available back in 2023

$200 USD if you dont own AMS 2
$170 USD if you owned AMS 2
$100 USD if you owned AMS 2 and all of it's DLC

OK, so just trying to clarify here. Not talking about DLC (thats clear already) but BASE content.

If the New "Yet to be released" Renault F1 now becomes BASE/free content and will be released as a Renault branded car with the new release in 1.6.9.8 (assuming I am correct here of course), moving forward, when this car becomes "unbranded generic", will that be the case for everyone who owns AMS2 (and therefore base content) or only those who purchase AMS2 base game from then on? Sorry, but this bit is not clear to me and official comment would be appreciated.

 

I think this is why it is a "free trial" for now. It will not have been bought by anybody as DLC, so if they need to they can pull the Renaults and replace them with similar generic models.

Obvs they would run into issues if everyone bought a Renault DLC and later found their Renaults replaced with similar cars that arent actually Renaults.

 

Yeah, this seems like a reasonable take and is the one I completely agree with. Some people (on other forums) believe that it will remain as a Renault so long as you owned AMS2 when it first drops and only people who buy AMS2 after that fact will have generic car.. Not something I believe is the case, so hoping official response can clear up the confusion. (No biggie either way, just clarifying)

 

If you bought the game before the next update, they'll be yours forever. If you buy the game after the update, you run the risk of losing them. But there's still no absolute certainty that Renault and the others will be sacrificed for McLaren. If Reiza doesn't finish with McLaren, it will be sacrificed and Renault will remain. In that case, the McLarens in the game will remain for those who bought it before the next update. And if you haven't yet purchased the Brazilian Legends DLC with Senna and Piquet's cars, I recommend doing so as soon as possible, as they're available for €3.75.

If you own the game, the F1 Renaults aren't a free trial. That's precisely why Reiza didn't release them as DLC. If he had released them as DLC, they would have been limited-time for everyone. If you don't buy the Brazilian Legends Pack now, you could lose Senna's McLarens if, for some reason, the deal falls through. For this reason, the pack is currently available for just €3.75, along with the Lotus 98T and Piquet's Brabham
