Is this also true for the licensed free cars that have been added through the years? Like since I already have the game I will be able to keep those cars?

Also, does this mean with the update we're gonna get the 2001 and 2005 McLarens alongside the Renaults? Or those are scrapped for now?

I'm a bit confused about the situation

 

Feel sorry for the team who worked so hard on those updates and have been willing to bring a fantastic package to us users and such developments crashes business plans so bad.

Although I have preordered the game back in time, I'd pay for the Renaults or the originally planned dlc if I could.

I'm glad y'all have managed to find a way for existing players to get all content and proud of y'all as a small studio working things out in this massive industry and getting some of the best stuff possible as well. Really really blessed to be living in an age where we get a sim like AMS2.

Unfortunate for the licensing, but very understandable in sticking to the path of the McLaren's. I know that cant have been easy, especially with Senna's cars in mind and the nature of your studio based in Brazil.

This update is just gonna feel like a new game to me with the BOP and tyre upgrades with the stock cars physical update on top, with my childhood F1 cars as a bonus. And to end it with a tease of another Milano and THE LISTER STORM! *fernando celebration dance*

A message from the future!

 

This game has such a bright future I cant believe it
I am so happy that more 2005 GT1 cars will be added, since they are some of my favourites
Cant wait to drive the Lister Storm!!

Also big thank you the people at Reiza, I really like racing against the AI in racing sims because i can do championships at my own pace, so I am really happy to see that there will be more updates to the AI, especially the AI vs AI battling, because that was the biggest problem I had with them

Please continue with the path you guys are on right now, in my opinion AMS2 is the only modern simulator where I can actually simulate a race and not another GT3 sprint

Thank you guys once again, I'll be looking forward to buy the DLCs

 

Thank you Reiza for the update, such an excellent upgrade that I can't wait for. Any improvements to the AI, tyres and general immersiveness and gameplay is super appreciated from me, so a big thank you.

 

I skipped the Nascar content because its not really for me but I'll get it now as a token of appreciation for releasing the F1 as base content, and the ongoing support for this game of course

 

Man, the customazible scalars will bring AMS2 to Crammond Grand Prix levels.. Can’t wait!!!

 

I'm curious to know how replacing the Lotus' and Brabhams with new models is going to work, particularly whether these new models will be able to be used by existing players to supplement their respective classes or new players and old players will see two different models in the same 'slot.'

Or are their class 'slots' simply going to be 'replaced' by increasing the existing generic models by X amount instead complete with new faux liveries and again, would existing players be able to take advantage of that?

Formula Retro Gen 2 is particularly badly effected as half the grid is made up of Lotus' and Brabhams.

 

Does this mean that we don't have the Renaults R25 and R26 in the game, just generic cars from that decade?

 

They will be in the game until the licensing issue is resolved, based on the dev update it seems like the most likely outcome will be that eventually the Renaults will be replaced with generic models alond with Brabhams/Lotus.

Upside to that is i imagine the mp4-20 and mp4-23 will get added to the game at the same time the Renaults are removed (i dont know to be clear, just inferring from what has been said).

 

Yeah, i think the same that the Mclarens will be added after removal of Renaults

 

I was wondering, until the McLarens are added to the game, will they be replaced by generic livery slots to make sure we still have the correct number of cars for F1 skinpacks? Or is the wait for the McLarens not expected to last long enough to justify adding generic livery slots replacements?

 

My friend, excuse my language, but it makes absolutely no sense for them to work on generic cars for McLaren when the official ones are ready. That said, it's irrelevant how long it takes for them to arrive; in fact, it's preferable that they take longer, because more people will have access to the official Renaults. Because when the McLarens arrive, all the other F1 cars will have to be generic.

 

I didn't mean to make brand new generic cars to replace the McLarens though? My question was whether or not Reiza would add 2 more livery slots to the already existing generic ones to make sure we have the correct number of cars to properly recreate the F1 seasons. At least until the McLarens get properly added to the game at a later date.


EDIT : these two slots would remain useful for later anyway, since it doesn't look like future players (the ones who will buy the game in the future, not current owners) will have access to the Renault. It would be a shame to lock these new players out from a complete 2005 skinpack because they don't own the game right now. Once the McLaren is added, these two livery slots could be used for the Renault team should a generic Renault car not be added in a future update.
