Which my concern as well. Currently the historic grids have limited slots based on what appears to be 2/4 liveries of spread across however many licensed cars they have (be it McLaren, Brabham and/or Lotus) plus a set of liveries spread across one or more generic cars to make up the historic maximum grid of that era.

Removing cars from sale but not compensating for loss with either a new generic model or increasing livery slots means grids will be incomplete.

Given Reiza's track record with look-alike cars i do not have any worry how the licensed Lotus or Brabham cars will have to change. Like the F-Edge and V12 model. Unless i see a side-by-side comparison i would not be able to tell the difference.

It's from the public branch of private beta, if that makes sense :p

Some Youtubers have permission from Reiza. As in previous cycles as well.

That's what Reiza did with the precursor to Formula Edge. There was one generic model that took all the livery spots. So there was a full field but only one model.

There are many companies out there that only care about profits, and customers are nothing more than numbers on a spreadsheet. When you find companies like Reiza, they’re like a magnificent oasis in the desert—an oasis that needs to be nurtured and expanded :)

In this case, settling for what’s available is a good option, and that doesn’t mean stopping being demanding in a good way, but rather finding a balance and knowing when you can ask for a little more—or when to settle for what’s available—because there are many variables in the world that influence projects, and you have to keep an open mind and have the patience to adapt to these changes that come our way from time to time in life.

As you can see, Reiza is trying to reach the best possible agreement and build a future for AMS2, so, in my humble opinion—and I’ll say it again—the best thing we can do is show him all the support we can give, because it’s worth doing and worth trying.

For my part, I’m excited about this update and whatever comes with it, because you can see the work that’s gone into bringing it to us, as well as the commitment and dedication behind the project.

You mean the Formula Reiza? That class is only known as F-V8 Gen3 in the UI; the AI file is still F-Reiza and the names should update at the track.

That's what I understood from the beginning; this is a stance of respect for AMS2 buyers and fans. Other titles have also taken this approach when they needed to remove content due to licensing issues; previous buyers always kept the "original" content. In Reiza's case, it would be sad to lose the McLarens and other traditional brands, cars so well represented in the game. If it happens, current owners will have a special version of the game compared to new buyers. This is the strategy with the new Renault content: guaranteeing access for current players regardless of whether they buy it as DLC until the licensing issue is completely resolved. Thanks again, Reiza! Long live AMS2, there's certainly a lot more good stuff to come!! ;)

Well, I dunno what to say. I'm both extremely happy and excited for the new content, especially the Renaults, but I'm also heartbroken about the McLaren situation. It's a cruel decision, both for the developers and the community.

I really appreciate how transparent you guys are about the situation. We know it's not Reiza or McLaren's fault. We know whose fault truly is.
No wonder the sport is in such a bad situation today. And that's why, more than ever now, that I prefer spending my money on generic cars from an indie developer rather than the official thing.
I'd rather buy ten more versions of Nurburgring and Barcelona than spending $80 every single year for the same s**** game, infested with microtransactions, cra**** novel mode, dancing moves, battle pass, etc.
No wonder both Indy and Endurance racing are so popular today. I only hope these people don't come after the circuits too. But then again, I'd gladly buy ten more versions of generic Nurburguer King, Monzarella or Spa Frango Champs.

I understand and support the decision to choose McLaren, both for the importance of the brand in the sport's history but also because AMS2 has become a sort of Senna simulator.
But what happens to the other brands? I mean, okay, we take out their open wheelers. But will it be the end? Couldn't Reiza strike other, non-formula deals with them?
I don't know much about Brabham history, but Lotus surely has many interesting cars. And Renault, oh boy, where do I start? Clio Cup, Renault Laguna, prototypes, Formula Renault 3.5, Renault Alpine A110.
Or maybe use the resources for these soon to be done licenses to acquire new ones, such as Hyundai (Genesis, Copa HB20) or more "obscure" ones (Lister, Morgan, Panoz, etc).

No matter the decision, I stand with Reiza. I'll continue supporting the studio and this game as long as you continue doing your stuff with passion.
    Long live Reiza! :hurrayreiza:

Tip: if you want, I grant you permission to rebrand the Renaults as Renans. Sell the DLCs, send me the money and I shall deposit it into a certain French manufacturer bank account. Wink-wink.

Should be, yes. Make sure you're in the correct branch. Bottom left in Main Menu must show: V1.6.9.8
