Sounds like a mod manager is in the works as well. It won't be like in AC but at least I'll simplify the process a bit.
When updates are released you don't need a full reinstall, usually I just deactivate and reactivate the bootfiles. Sometimes you need new bootfiles and thats where these programs can help as thats when editing text files comes into play (also when adding new mods of course).

I usually just put the new file in the MODS folder without deactivating it and the mod still works. Don’t fully under why I’ve heard you have to deactivate than activate a mod

This is very interesting because the tire is different only in terms of appearance. You only replace textures when you install `street track tyres`.

Thats weird, what car are the based off of, the F USA Gen 3? I assume "only different in appearance" you mean they are taken from a reiza car unchanged physics wise.

Typically with the F1 cars thats have different compounds the difference between the different tires is much more subtle of falloff vs overall grip. These both feel unique, and the black tires definitely last longer?

Yes, let's figure out if the reds and blacks are identical physics-wise. I did see reference to this other special tire, but haven't read/investigated yet (probably because it is called street track tire or some such, which suggests it should be irrelevant to the Indycars).

I mean I'm almost certain they are different. At the bare minimum the reds wear significantly faster than the blacks (as they should)

    Let's just be factual here.
You only install different texture when you install red and black tires. It's still the same tire that the car uses.
Do racing stripes make you go faster? I think not.

Where did the Indycar mod go? It is no longer on RD.

The Indycar is a rip from Project CARS 3 with added Halo, that's why it was removed.

How would you be able to tell? Because there is a lot of IR18 models out there that you could buy/pull from?

Why would that even matter. Mods get ripped from other games all the time and are on RD.

Comparing meshes. If they are 1:1 match it's the same 3d model.
