Apologies everyone, obviously we have blown past the end of March and with it our schedule for Nurburgring Historic release.

In the last couple of weeks the track team gathered some fresh references on the old start / finish straight that showcased our mesh had some width and elevation innacuracies; correcting such innacuracies after modelling of the section had already been in place is quite common for historic tracks with relative shortage of references, and it´s something that has happened numerous times over development of this particular project contributing to its-ever extending schedule - it´s specially time consuming this late in the game for a track this size and while the team is less than thrilled about having to do it, after almost two years at it we aren´t willing to settle for something that isn´t throughly representative even if it means losing face with another delay.

All I can say is that we are on the finish stretch now (well, literally) for what has been a specially demanding project, and I do believe the result will once again make the wait worthwhile. I won´t risk a new schedule just yet to avoid further pie in the face, but you all will get some fresh previews in the coming days along with our April Dev Update.

In the meantime here´s a picture of the the Y-junction between the Nordschleife and Südschleife showcasing the safety standards of the day :)

…and of course you'll also release those beautiful cars at the same time, right? :D

I don't know who in that photo is more insane, the track organizers, the drivers, or the spectators sitting on the outside with barely any safety features.

    Doing things well takes time.
When we run on the Nordschleife and sudschleife I'm sure we will be so happy that we will forget the time spent waiting

And photographers who were often standing almost on track in those days in order to get the best picture, as close to the cars that they were passing them from a distance of just 2 or 3 meters. Even as a child which did not knew anything about safety I thought that those guys were completely mad.

Now if only we had the cars on the photo to actually drive them in the game.

And especially Portugal rallies. Those spectators had a death wish.

I actually think that the Nürburgring GP DLC maybe should have a price bump if this one gets released. 9 Euros for 60 km of dev work seems a bit like too much of a steal ^^

I find very interesting the lines drawn in the photo....
Those tells a lot of what kind of research the track team is going...
