This, but not dlss, but a more universal modern AA solution would be very welcome. I enjoy visual aspect of the SIM a lot (autumn nords 70s in golden hour) that still haven't gone high refresh rate WQHD due to enjoying 4k@60 too much. But even at 4k with msaa+fxaa there's enough stubborn visible jagggies in some areas and light conditions.

Reiza stated that their goal is to have all cars and teams from IMSA (see opening post) become part of AMS2 and that "all" would obviously mean the 296 from Cetilar, Risi and AF Corse as well....

"Our goal through this very exciting partnership is to align the remaining agreements required to have the 2024 season - teams, cars and venues - represented in AMS2, a process that is already well under way with direct support from IMSA themselves."

It doesn't need specific tracks... Just like F-USA and F-Ultimate, the "F-Reiza Electric" could be a generic car similar to the real one but without the complications of the "attack mode" but with plenty of torque and certain battery management in races type sprint on tracks already in the game.

That is NOT a confirmation... we will more than likely miss a couple cars.

It's good to be optimistic, but we also shouldn't expect the best-case scenario. It is absolutely possible that we do get everything in the schedule, but chances are we'll miss a car or two, maybe even track (tbh I do not expect Detroit to show up in AMS 2, but won't complain if it does)

LOL! You are aware that nowadays, F1 uses the safety car almost as often as any US series? Not to mention F1 has the most ridiculous red flag rule in racing.

Yeah. My gut feeling is exactly those two.

***IF*** we were to miss content, it would be detroit and 296.

Detroit because street tracks take extremely too long to make and if the track isn't legendary, might not be worth the investment.

296 because ferrari license is notoriously expensive and hard to get.

It can't be that difficult to get a license for Ferrari. Which relevant sim out there doesn't have Ferrais in it? Exactly none, except Automobilista 2.

I agree. On the other side, it's also unfair to Max to say he makes F1 boring. It's not just the car designers who need to do a better job. Also the drivers are a part in this. Max is in that car a machine. He's one with the car and right now in his prime. The level of his consistency is from another world. Leclerc can't compete with the consistency, Norris has shown to drown a couple of times, Piastri really needs to work on his Sunday performances, Russell still is Mr Saturday in many ways, and sorry but not sorry, Hamilton is past his prime. Don't get me wrong, he can still be quick, even on a Sunday, yet he can't keep up anymore. Besides, he hasn't won a race since 2021. Max, since he joined RBR, always managed to win a race, even during the 2 most dominant years of Mercedes (2019-2020). I'll leave it at that

The only thing I read are some easy excuses, but not come close to reality. Really, the "cost cap bad" argument again? First of all, if you knew anything about F1, the dominance of RBR is anything but expected. Newey did his research into ground effect. The guy is a aerodynamic and ground effect genious. Not weird because he did his studies during the ground effect era of F1. It's up to the other teams to match his thinking.

Now to the "cost cap bad" argument. The cost cap actually works! The winner may be known, but behind him it's anything but sure. The midfield is the closest it has ever been! Without te cost cap, it would've been 3 teams at the top again with the rest being field filler. Besides that, it actually punishes the teams for doing a bad job. It's weird "fans" actually rather want mistakes to be solved by throwing millions over counter. Let's be honest here. Only Mercedes and Ferrari would benefit from the cost cap removal. A team like Williams has proven how mistakes in the pre-cost cap era only affected the teams with lower budget, which is worse for racing overall.

In addition to the above mentioned, McLaren and Mercedes have both proven they can stil revise their philosophy in the middle of a season during the cost cap era. Yes, it's not preferred, and McLaren did a more aggressive change of philosophy compared to Mercedes, but they still both could.

Going back to my first point, I'll point you towards the 2010-2020 era. 3 teams entered the sport with the promise that a cost cap would be introduced. It never came because the top teams threatened to not sign a new Concorde Agreement. As a result, all 3 had disappeared after the 2014 season. Meanwhile, RBR, Ferrari and Mercedes where spending millions to be at the top (Mercedes most of them all), resulting in Mercedes to be miles ahead of the rest. Newey's interest even disappeared because RBR had aerodynamically the best car, yet their engine was horrible. Spending millions on aero but not being able to close the gap because Renault didn't want to spend millions on the engines (together with French chauvinistic thinking) is not a great motivation, now is it? McLaren made mistakes and dropped towards the back. Spending millions but not helping them, even worsening their position.

This leads to my last point and the most important of all. The days of spending ludicrous amounts of money is over. We've entered a new golden era of sportscar racing because there is a topclass category which doesn't require ludicrous amounts of money to develop. You still can spend a bigger amount if you want to, with loads of freedom, but then you choose the LMH rule set like Ferrari did. Otherwise, LMDh is your go to rule set. Both are equalised (this will probably open a whole new can of worms:whistle:) meaning the manufacturer can decide themselves what philosophy they want to use. This has made sportscar racing enter it's new golden age. It only emphasises that the era of wild spending is over. LMP1 failed because it was too expensive, F1 was going the same way. No, the cost cap isn't the problem. It's the solution to keep racing in these times.

IMO let’s stop the F1 discussing and talk about F1. Create an F1 thread and discuss it there

Should we then also move the MP talk to a MP discussion thread? Because that talk is also very lively in this thread:whistle:;)
