Automobilista 2 May 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt1

Is there anything you're able to tell us about changes to the AI? I'm thinking mostly about the AI in wet weather currently being too fast, and improving how the AI passes lapped cars/lower class cars.

 

I'd be expecting Part 2 of the dev update to drop a day or 2 before 1.6 is dropped.
My prediction is:

• Dev Update Part will be posted 272 hours from now
• 1.6 will be released 304 hours from now

I wouldn't hold my breath that it's coming to AMS2

 

Since Audi is comming to AMS2, i tought... what are the odds in a near future..

 

I would prefer the rally Audi

 

...or going with content we already have in the sim, a rallycross car!

 

Any version of this car would be great. I like even more earlier models from 1981 - 1984, but 1985 - 1986 is iconic and the most famous ( already used in many games )

 

Its so funny seeing the decline in discussion from page 1 to here.

And when the next cycle begins, post-1.6, so does the descend into madness start all over again.

But we wouldn't have it any other way. It's part of the game now.

 

We have an extra stage over here. It goes like this:
Denial -> anger -> bargaining -> depression -> acceptance -> cheese.

The cheese part usually goes from page 70 onwards until the next dev update.

 

Both of those well-known issues are receiving focused attention. I know that doesn't say anything conclusive, but you at least know it is a top priority.

Guys, we are the best to comment, anticipate, giving hope and speak about something that doesn't exist at the time...

 

Personally, I am more or less satisfied with the physics v1.5, yes, it can be improved, but I would put all my efforts into the online component of the game. Namely: official rating races. You can rely on LFM, but you also need to do your own well.
Since the release of v1.6 I would concentrate on IMSA content + rating system. Everything else is secondary things

 

Once you try the 1.6 physics, you won't want to go back.

Seriously though, it *is* good the sim is still receiving polish, fixes and advances on the physics front. That does not, however, imply that no improvements are being made to performance, stability, features, multiplayer, etc. - one does not exclude the other.

 

Let me guess, Majestic, you want a small company like Reiza to make a free iRacing for you.

Last weekend I started using racecraft and I am enjoying it a lot. Sadly there are not a lot of people playing at the moment but the system is solid and it has all I need to have a lot of fun.
