Automobilista 2 May 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt1

Custom FFB are created/fine tuned to specific goals (call it 'taste', 'flavor', etc.).
My FullFFB uses physical quantities in units that won't change with the new 1.6. It would require Reiza to change the whole engine (like, for instance, changing N to pound-force - it makes no sense such change).
However, every FFB can benefit from adjustments specific for each car and tyre (that produce different outputs from the physics engine). I guess only the defaults profiles have this hability (hidden to us, variables only Reiza knows/uses like car name, car class and such).

I think that's the point @XTRMNTR2K wanted to make. Beta testers should refrain from introducing variability to the tests.
It may make a difference, it may not. @Kuku thinks is best to use what we know best (baseline), and that is also right, but has the potential to limit the quality of feedback to Reiza.
But been a beta tester is not a privilege, it's a burden, isn't it ?

Same only play AMS 2 now, dropped AC, ACC, LMU/RF2, RRE.

 

Some are just eager to read part 2 of 3....
To have some screenshots of the new shaders, some tech reading of the updated physics, some videos of an overdriven gt3 resulting in a spin..... . . Etc etc.... . .
II rremember that lovely small video showing the new shaders of the windscreen... Jeeez seems an era ago but we have not seen it yet...

Ok, so thanks for this hype train for other games here, today I purchased, tried and refunded LMU. I'm not saying it is a bad game but not something I really need, I'm just not that of a WEC fan. Maybe I'll pick it up in few years time with a discount if it's ever going to get out of EA.

But what would be nice to have in AMS2 from there are few tracks, preferrably with others in Desert and Japanese Track Packs.

 

You're welcome, but the idea behind the discussion is always to get to AMS2 what we also like in other sims. Not to hype the other sims.
We are here because we like AMS2 .

 

Personally the only sim i enjoy driving besides ams2 is lmu, i would have refunded acc if i didnt have it since ages comparatively

 

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and say this: The more people try to give AMS2 a bad name, the more I enjoy playing it. Because I know there's so many ignorant people out there who miss out on this fun gem of a game simply because they listen to the "cool kids". Schadenfreude is the best kind of joy and all that.

I've recently been testing a new tungsten F5 button. After several thousand presses I can safely say its indestructible. Unfortunately the keyboard disintegrated.

 

About damn time.
The new DTM '95 cars might me want reinstall this title again. Content wise Raceroom is a blast, it's just a shame skin/name modding is not possible.
