which cars you mean? i've never heard of the floating thing? You mean sometimes tires keep too much grip or something else?

In my (very limited) experience I had a feeling that whenever I was driving a tintop it felt like a boat on the track. I have quite a lot of experience on AC and ACC and this feeling of "floating" was really new to me. This was not the case in openwheel cars. Also the tires being very forgiving of sliding was quite hard to get used to.

These are for the winning manufacturer of each year at Sebring. In 1989 Nissan won. Hence the Japanese flag.

In AMS2 the slip angle is huge, as soon as you brake and turn the rear of the car starts sliding sideways a lot, there is not a clear peak of grip. Your car starts sliding and then you have to countersteer like if you were driving a rally car.
Trail braking in AMS2 is difficult because it is hard to tell where the grip limit is.

This makes the driving feel a bit unnatural. In some cases like the GT3s and LMDhs the driving is much easier. Smaller cars with no downforce like Caterhams or Formula Trainers dont feel tight and reactive, they feel gooey.

No need to get used to it much longer ;) Physics-wise I think we're definitely headed towards a big step. Whether you or others with this complaint will think it's perfect is another question, but anyone who likes the current public release Stock Car 2024 (which is very, very far from what I'd consider optimal especially in terms of on throttle behaviour), even if you only like it a little more, is in for a treat. Even the best cars in 1.5.6. would in my opinion be the ugly ducklings of 1.6.

I realllyyy hope 1.6 comes before the 19th (despite it being unlikely) As I will be traveling all the way Indianapolis for the IMSA race for the whole weekend. Oh well! Still racing!

It makes me sad that CTDP never got to release their 1994 mod. Previews had me looking forward to it. I also recall they were doing Okayama/Aida, but now I don't remember if it was a 1994 version or a more modern one.
