I'm not talking about the roaring sound coming from outside at all. All I'm talking about is the front/rear speaker balance in a 5.1 setup. But going with your IRL. Having a helmet on that vibrates and is pressing and deforming your outer ear will drastically reduce your directional sound perception. So hearing the engine sound 100% from your front is even less realistic than without a helmet. It will indeed be more muffled.

No, I haven't. I will give it a try sometime, maybe it will help with what I'm looking for. Thanks..

    Personally I use this;
AAF Optimus DCH Audio Modded Driver for Windows 10/11 - For ALL HDAUDIO Enumerator Chips
Its a modded driver for all realtek audio chip; the difference is really amazing, if it can help...

My experience with FU2 (and F1 rules implementation) is limited. I take your word.

I still think AMS2 wants me to have an handicap :D:D:D

To be honest, I usually have manual selection active. That's how a sim racer should act, from my point of view. I was just been lazy, and that won't point me in the right direction - to have a challenge every single day. The more "auto" we use, the less we learn, the sooner the games become boring.

I've lost interest on online racing because it became the norm to buy setups. That really disturbs me. Why don't just pay someone to race for us and free our time to do something else? (and them pay someone to also do that?) o_O

Will Monza get an update in the near future since the first chicane is changed ?

I've tested and compared various popular audio spatial enhancements with most sims, both hardware and software solutions were used. In the end, it was clear to me, that allowing the game sound-engine to provide spatialization in the most direct way was always the most effective overall sound solution.

While some 3rd-party solutions can certainly enhance some aspects of the soundstage, those gains never came without compromise. The sound as designed by the game developer / sound-engineer team works best when there are no other enhancements applied.

Set your audio system (in windows) to the proper mode (Headphones / Surround / etc.) for your hardware and calibrate. Make sure "Audio Enhancements" are disabled and no 3rd party audio-app is actively interfering with the game sound as designed.

If using headphones, enable Headphones Mix in AMS2 audio. If not, be sure it is disabled for use with surround systems or those with dedicated sound-processors (USB audio, for example).
The audio from game to the hardware sound-processor should be as direct as possible.

Keep in mind, AMS2 audio is still very much WIP (Especially <v1.6x) so, some audio issues are present and well known. Things (Audio) will make more sense going forward, as many sound effects were not calibrated per-car prior to v1.6.

I find sound to be far more subjective than video. I’ve played with the sound settings in AMS2 and my other games and its not a one size fits all.

For AMS2 (I play with headphones) my preferred setup is the Headphone mix and Dolby Atmos for Headphones in the Windows settings, to me that gives a better impression of being in the race. It may not work for other people or what the sound designer had in mind but I don’t have the audio kit the sound designer had either,

I’ll see what happens with 1.6

Creating and releasing a 2024 Monza should be relatively easy and also add something unique to AMS2. (kinda like what happened with Spa 2022)

In theory a new surface, kerbs and one little adjustment to a chicane shouldn’t be too hard (uneducated guess)

Hello, do we know if the Detroit and Belo Horizonte circuits will be added later in AMS2? These 2 circuits are part of the Stockcar Pro Series 2024 and IMSA 2024 calendar. This seems likely but I have not read confirmation. What do you think?

Is there a lot of difference with the previous circuit? I watched the GP but it didn't jump out at me.

I would welcome an update to the Nordschleife first!
At the moment, Raceroom has the latest version of the track with the updated curbs after the Fuchsröhre.

+1 for updated Nordschleife! The updated RRE version ist really atmospheric.

This would be my christmas wishlist for reiza:

More tents/camper around the track (with proper disco lights at night), working/waving flag marshalls, a 60+ car grid, a mid-race saving feature, the iconic "weju weju weju" sound, when you are entering the pits.:p

And please add the red "Michael-Schumacher-S" sign on the GP track. The sign is there since 2007 I think.
