It certainly doesn't help that the F1 organizing body is seemingly doing everything in their power NOT to let more teams join...look into the story of Andretti if you want to know what I mean

 

Talking about F1, a guy predicts that Reiza are the ones who will get the F1 license. I think he must not really know what we know

 

What is a MyTeam career mode? I generally like the idea if it is what I think it is. Will there be a version available for linux?

Also, something i haven't seen from other career apps (unless I misunderstood) is e.g. capturing the output data from the telemetry to update - It doesn't seem impossible that you could have as part of the career app a part that captures the telemetry data, marks the positions etc. and captures the updates tot he career automatically. I've done some work with the telemetry data in the past so if it is of interest we can talk about how it might work. (PM me if so)

AMS2 is getting more and more attention!

 

I think Apex Rivals career app kind of does this? You need Second Monitor installed and running, and it saves a telemetry file that updates the career app with the race results, sorting out the player and AI finishing order.

 

And that's before the update

 

Apex Rivals is an excellent career mode. It is coupled with the Second Monitor app, which automatically updates race results.

AR generates the races, weather conditions and other parameters. Meanwhile, the AI are racing too. So, as you progress, you may encounter the same 'rival' further on in your career.

It's easy to install and run and is a terrific way to race. I recommend it without reservation. (I have no affiliation with AR. I'm just a very satisfied punter).

 

It's just a small detail and I don't know if there's an answer to it yet but I hope that the new update finally gets rid of those ugly gloves for formula cars. For me, they destroy the immersion.

The icing on the cake would be if the Reiza logo on the steering wheels of the 2000s formula cars would also disappear.

 

What's the problem with the gloves? I never noticed anything wrong with them.
As for the Reiza logo, I agree. It doesn't help with the immersion.

 

Why don't you just disable the in-game steering wheel and hands instead though? I always do that for the sims I play because I think it looks weird to have 2 steering wheels in front of me.

 

Does anyone remember the career mode of Project Cars 2? In my opinion, the developers created an amazing feature of a racing engineer who helped set up the car during practice, asking questions about the behavior of the car. Of course, the problem with driving the car was the strange unfinished physics of the PC2, but still it helped to get the best result. And during the race, the engineer was in touch with the pilot, which created an unforgettable race atmosphere. I agree with the statement that Racing Life is really the most interesting way to go through a career - with so many classes, you need a choice and a consistent progression from junior championships to the top of motorsport with a division into pumping branches of large classes such as open wheels or body series. I also like the idea of making historical classes and races in the form of optional events or small championships that bring additional reputation points.

P.S. Everyone who thinks that the career mode in car simulators is not necessary, can you guarantee that real drivers will not spoil my experience from the arrival? And the championship? How can an adult man with a family and a job manage to participate in every race of the online championship? Do you want to deprive me of such pleasure because...? Why? What is the meaning of this protest of bees against honey?

 

Am I the only one who found PCars 2 career a bit underwhelming? At the end of the day it was just a bunch of championships split into tiers, and the main feature was that you could choose what championship you will take in next tier. There was no feature that could take it to next level if it comes to being deep. As a player I would like to have career that has some challange on track but also outside of it - like trying to fight for sponsorships, to have money to start in given championship. Or we could have some random failures during races, or we would need to keep our car in good shape and pay for repairs. Codies might be lazy with their F1 games, but I must say they are currently the only one studio that at least tried to do anything to make career more than a championship mode.I really hope that AMS2 career is being cooked for so long because it won't be just championship mode with a decision tree that you can choose what to do after you completed your tier.

 

Who said that about the license ? never even commented about that. Andretti wants a new team in F1, my point is for the teams that already exist.

 

You get to do everything an F1 team does - you select your team name, livery, engine supplier, main sponsor, smaller sponsors, drivers, you upgrade your facilities, order what research is supposed to get done to get upgrades over the season(s), hire a new teammate or keep the current one once silly season comes in, and of course you are an owner driver, so now there are 11 teams on the grid instead of 10.

The best NR game Nascar Thunder 2004 has something very similar too. The later Nascar Heat games got a similar thing as well and currently playing World of Outlaws on consoles you also get to organize your own racing team.

Are you complaining about the loss of immersion because the gloves are annoying but you leave the steering wheel and your hands on? Really funny

 

Maybe it will be on the UI update
