I read somewhere that REIZA is working on an ingame content manager. Hopefully this will be part of 1.6 - since the number of classes and generations is constantly growing, it's kind of overwhelming to set up multiclass races. I for example don't use karts. The menus would be instantly cleaner if I could just hide the cars (and tracks) I don't need all the time.

I thought the latest dev update said extra championship slots were coming with the next public release.

What we really need is a custom championship export/import feature, that way we can have as many as we like. Even better, we would be able to share custom championships with each other - I dare say that would be a game-changing feature

I heard some youtubers saying that Reiza had a deal with Aston Martin to bring their GT3 to the game, but that deal didn't succeed. I hope we can have an Aston Martin this time.

As I said before, there are 2 cars available at this point in time (the V12 GT3 and the 2019 GTE).

As much as I love mods I would very much preffer the content made by Reiza. But sure, you can race those right now with mods and they are pretty good.

Do mods have their own engine sounds now or are they still restricted to using a sound that is already in the game?

There is nothing to back up that claim other than pure guess-work, and when you look at what's in common in between the two missing manufacturers with the most cars in the files a more interesting theory starts to emerge.

    Screenshot_35.png

I have double checked these folders to make sure these are not due to mods, they are not since these folders only contain .CRD files while mods usually have a whole bunch of different files as shown below:

    Screenshot_36.png

here is what the folder of the already confirmed Audi R8 LMS GT3 looks like:

    Screenshot_37.png

here is what the folder of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 evo2 looks like:

    Screenshot_40.png

some of the folders of what I suspect to be future content does have a file with the .crd.orig extension, but I've seen this with official cars as shown below with the ARC Camaro:

    Screenshot_38.png

Now... Im curious what do Lamborghini and Aston Martin have in common? Might give us a hint as to why (despite being in the files for years) we haven't seen either of these brands in AMS 2 yet.

Also good to check what class it says in the files so they’re not PC2 leftovers

It's always good to double check and be skeptical, but it's also worth noting that the vast majority of PC2 leftovers are in the "GUI" folder so im inclined to believe that these aren't PC2 leftovers. Though at the end of the day it's all just speculation, and only time will tell...

The Huracan GT3 EVO2 is almost a brand new car, I think it‘s only it‘s second season, so it can‘t be a leftover from PCARS2.
I would love to see that car in AMS2. Do the Iron Dames take part in IMSA?
All the Aston Martins would be a really nice add to the game! I hope it‘s the Vantage Evo! Would be nice to have a car in AMS2 that no other Sim has so far!

This weekend is a great time to start! 56 car grid for a 6 hour endurance race at Watkins Glen! Rain is in the forecast too, what could possibly go wrong?

Will it ever be possible to maybe consolidate the game files at some point to reduce the file size a little bit because its at around 90 gb at the moment and i've seen similar things done with other games (although im completely unaware of the technicalities).

I am aware of the content manager that will come at some point which allows us to install only the content we want but will consolidation ever happen?

On another note, really excited for 1.6 and can't wait for the second dev blog!

Reiza, we have another race track for the list, the Brazilian Stock Car pro series will do a stage at the Autódromo Víctor Borrat Fabini in El Pinar, Uruguay. We know about all the effort your team has made to bring the 1.6, and we understand that there may not be time for that, but the 2024 championship would be perfect with the two tracks completing the championship, as the Belo Horizonte street track also its confirmed. I'm confident that this will become a reality at some point, and I'm really looking forward to update 1.6.
