I've had it happen a few times where let's say I am racing at Monza, approaching Ascari, the car behind is close but not along side, he just sort of goes for a desperate lunge and spins me out at the first apex. Swerving in a fast corner to obey blue flags (to let me down the inside while I'm trying to carry the speed round the outside) is another one of those situations that just make no sense.

Going back a few pages, one or two Beta testers intimated that we'd notice a small but significant change, not on track but 'to the side'.

My guess is that the Marshalls and 'crowd' will be animated, rather than stationary at present.

A fraction of the price of real racing... If you don't think you're likely to have it turn into a career, seems logical to me.

Excuse available to anyone in need. :D

Happens to me all the time so frustrating when they nudge you off the track:mad: Especially as i like to max out the cars and start at the back but it's almost like they annoyed that you passed them:D

Okay, this will be my final post in this thread as I have nothing more of importance to say (and to avoid going off topic per @CrimsonEminence ) other than I’m super excited for 1.6 and will now sit patiently in my rig staring at my monitor until I see AMS2 start updating on Steam ( /s ).

Real excited to see what Reiza have been cooking up over the last few months, this update sounds massive and fantastic.

Today is Friday the 13th, I'm not expecting any updates today, but from what I've seen in the beta forum I can tell Reiza is still working hard on the new update.

No offense, but I'll never understand the marketing:(
All my thinkings and support to the developper, certainly in crunch at this moment;)
I just hope that the update won't have too much bugs, so please guys don't hurry up; it's ok for most of us'

Guys, I completely understand the hype and all, but really, let's stop to hint or provide potential deadlines, which are not defined nor promised nor due.
I know, boss talked about end of summer.
He also talked about quite some other dates/updates/hints which in the end were not met.
We all know it. Let's just stop. If the devs are still hard working on the update, giving beta builds to the beta members, probably means that they need feedback and beta testers, and this means several steps before the polishing....
Boss said they aim for excellence this time, no shortcuts, no "to-do" things, this is definitely the opposite than giving a deadline.
It'll come when it'll be ready. Please do not rely on the "summer" thing. Does it come before summer end? good. Does it come later? good anyways.
I suggest we all change mindset. We tend to be timing-based. Team is result-based.
If update is not there, measn the result is not there.
Hopefully we will have something to read (could also be an alignment on the achievements and what is still on the works...) and if not, means that the time is not mature even to write down something.

What do you have the AI set too for difficulty and aggression?

As I understand it if you go above medium on aggression they are 100% aggro all the time. Its better left at medium.

Similarly if you don’t qualify and start at the back with the AI set high you’ll have cars out of position doing inconsistent lap times, at least thats how it’s been in my experience.

In my experience It’s pretty much always better to do at least a short qualifying session to get the best results out of the AI.

I keep reading all these posts about the AI taking people out .. can someone please record a video of it happening using the chase camera following the AI driver ? I am having the opposite problems ever since i started playing AMS2 that i am always given space even when i do not deserve it and am free to almost push the AI off the track whenever i want and push them from their lane every time i want.

I think people have the AI setup in different ways and it also seems to be a bit car and class dependent.

I’ve just done 14 laps around Le Mans in the GTEs, AI at medium and 105% and they seem pretty fair in the corners. The biggest problem at Le Mans is they don’t seem to take advantage of the draft to complete a move on the straights so you end with a cluster of 3 or 4 cars together and 3 wide on the straight not really doing much to complete the overtake.

In general, personally I’d like them to be a bit better at closing the door when in front of you and they are too easy to get to run wide on exit. When they are behind the only problem I have is sometimes they are a bit too slow to pull out of a move that clearly isn’t going to work and they are already two wheels off track. This happens far less often than it used to. On one of the previous versions going into the bus stop at Daytona you seemed to have a 90% chance of being destroyed as you turned in :)

Other than that my issues are track dependent, things like fast chicaney type sections (Barcelona, Indianapolis Road course for example) where they are far too slow.

So many games this has been the best approach in! AC and GTR2 are two others that always need a qualy session first to enhance the AI more than any code changes could.

Nice info for me. Currently doing some F1 Sessions in AC. There are some AI lines which are very good but will also do now some Quali before Racing.

Feel free to DM/Discord me about AC - the AI there isn't terrible, especially for sprint racing, it's just the various quality of cars and mod tracks is all over the place. But, of course, it's all tweakable if you have the time!
