In my experience cars sliding around after a couple of laps is related to tire overheating. Check tire temperature, avoid over driving, maybe pick a different date where track temperature isn't so high.

 

Can you give an example circuit and car that does this? This is completely opposite to my experience. What kind of laptimes do you do on the track you notice this on, and are you sure you're driving "cleanly?" I would get this if I really thrashed a car around. Also are you on 2x or higher tyre wear?

 

Tyre pressures may be too high.

I hope we get a last run tyre pressure/temp gauge in the pit garage ui for v1.6, it would help a heck of a lot with car setup.

I could say that I think that 1.6 will be delayed indefinitely. With the fall of Fanatec, Reiza loses a crucial sponsor which means they can't pay the development team. Therefore nothing can be released until the start of the next financial year and then only if Reiza can raise enough funds.

I can write that and say that's my POV, but it is pure fantasy and not helpful.

 

Sure i will...this is strange as CrewChief says everytime they are cold so i think there is a mismatch of information between game and crewchief.

I had this issue with all the GT3 Gen2 and GT3 as they are the ones i am using mostly now.

 

If you are talking about v1.5, tires in v1.6 are quite different. Especially in terms of nuance related to temperature and changing track conditions.

 

I think the 1.6 will sort the matter. Let's wait and see!

 

Fanatec is not gone or bankrupt, everything is now running as before, only under a new parent company. Instead of Endor, it is now Corsair.

Perhaps re-read my post, taking particular care when reading the the last paragraph.

 

Flat spots show as wear, try be more gentle on the brakes.

 

If the tyres are too cold after a couple of laps I'd try lowering the pressures a bit, closing brake ducts a bit (depending on what car you're driving), working the tyres harder to get more heat into them.

I do find the tyres can end up really cold in this sim, I'm hoping the new update will fix this somewhat.

Also try changing the date to a warmer month, this is something I often forget. Wondering why my tyres are cold when it's 5°C at the track

 

I have found that CrewChief has a very fixed idea of what the tyre temps should be. I've had him call tyres both hot and cold, while the hud is showing them in the green.

 

I don’t think we have seen signs in Beta of splitting of content deployment so not sure what those “rumors” are about. Wouldn’t take that as gospel TBH
