Automobilista 2 May 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt1

Yeah, too bad those aren't current IMSA tracks. The Detroit track is overhated. The corners look the same but in actuality each seem very different to drive to the other. It's not just the exact same 90 degree corner.

I just want more street tracks in general. Permanent circuits get a bit boring to me when they all look the same.

Good nice urban sceneries and punishing barriers are what I enjoy most in sims and it's a shame that sims in general don't offer very many streets.

I also want more bumpy tracks and I get that more with streets than smooth permanent circuits.

 

I am still dying to know, which other new premium car brands will show up in this game alongside Audi. I can't even wait that much longer to know them XD

 

Did you look some pages back in this thread?

 

Looks like we have:
Audi, Oreca, Lamborghini. So that means 4 more are still missing. Unless I missed something myself

 

I sure have. Saw Alpine coming in.

 

I don't expect to see seven coming in v1.6, I'm sure some of those will be for later in the year.

 

Chances of Ferrari anyone?

 

Not IMSA so I wouldn't count on it

There are four or five 296 GT3s racing in IMSA this season. I don't think chances are high for 1.6 (seems we've seen a lot of the DLC content already) but a chance for the future.

We know that Road Atlanta is coming and that there are two more tracks to be announced which most people seem to think will be between Sebring, Mosport and Detroit but I've not seen anyone mention Lime Rock?

 

Hasn't it been removed from the calendar? I know it's popular but it's no longer with us

I think I also saw when watching some IMSA that the Triarsi Competizione wants to bring a 499P to race in IMSA at some point... if THAT happens I will be very excited.

 

I think it is due to them being in the IMSA sportscar championship, but maybe we get a track from a lower ranked r@cing series under the IMSA umbrella

I think perhaps Acura. There are a lot of comments on the board about apparent general disinterest in things like this from Japanese manufacturers, but Acura's interest in IMSA in general (Long Beach is the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, for example), their dominance last year of the Acura LMDh (the only one from last year not represented in the game) and the existence of their NSX GT3 mean it'd be a good target and likely to induce interest in the firm - see for example the end of any IMSA video at the moment, the standard fade out is the 2 Acura LMDh and the Legge et al. green and white Acura NSX. I'd love it if it was Acura. I also get the impression that Acura as the American wing is exhibits some autonomy given their separate branding (that trips up the commentators a lot!).

Guys, I'm coming to this forum now, I'm excited by the future or rather by the imminent arrival of the new content and the new physics, hearing you talk about the possible speculations on the new content excites me a lot, this game already had what it takes to become a must-have of simulation but now it's exaggerating both in content (tracks and tracks) and in physics, I only hope for a slight improvement to the graphics (which is already among the best) and primarily a better multiplayer more populated and serious ... i agree, an explanatory part 2 wouldn't hurt to appease curiosity.
