There's nothing wrong being passionate about something you enjoy in your life. We're only on this floating rock for so long, might as well enjoy it.

More liveries for the Lotus 23, more cars for Open GT, Classic GT, DPi, Group C, Vintage Toruring 1 & 2, F-Junior, Street Cars, Hypercars, ProCars, Formula 1 30s -50s, Touring Cars 30s. Something little...

I would love for that era of racing to be represented more, not just in games but as a whole. Like it's criminal how few people know about the 1933 Monaco Grand Prix, a race where for 87 of 100 laps there was a battle for the lead, and not a "faster car is stuck behind a slower car because they can't find a place to overtake" battle (Imola 2005, Hungary 2021, etc) but a proper battle with overtaking. No rain needed, no chaos needed, just two drivers pushing both themselves and their cars to the limit.

Maybe the lack of documentation is why it isn’t well represented

I think its outside the scope of ams2, which seems to be 1970 and onwards.

No pressure Renato, but I got a chunk of content in my basket that I said I'd buy when the second part of the blog dropped, don't make me wait for another sale :p

Sure, but for me I hope they stick to adding depth to the post 1970 content. And vintage stuff is my jam, my AC install has nothing more modern than 1976 in it, but the tracks from the pre-war era would take too much time to make it worth it IMO.

Personally, I'd rather they focus on more '70s TC and GT, more '80s Group C and Group A and the 90s-2000s LMPs and GT classes. I'm loving the matches of period tracks with the respective cars, it's immersion on a new level.

There's plenty of documentation , it's just mostly with text. The only thing that's lacking is race footage but even then it still very much exists, just not much of it.

The reason it's not well represented in sims is because it's too niche to make up for the extra effort that would have to go into adding pre-war cars. Why is it so niche? Because it never gets mentioned, not by commentators, not by drivers, not by journalists, not even by racing fans themselves. I get why it's not in sims, but all I can say is that it's sad that Forza Horizon 5 does a better job of representing pre-war Grand Prix racing than F1 itself.

I know, but pre-war racing is what laid the foundation to Grand Prix racing as we know it. I don't see why it shouldn't be brought up.

Nope, 1950 was the start of the world championship but the f1 class of grand prix racing dates to 1946, i quote wikipedia:

    In short, not really.

Longform explanation: Formula 1 as we know is a relatively straightforward continuation of the 20's and 30's Grand Prix racing. It was - and is - the top level of international motorsport, winning the grand prix races is considered the most prestigious achievement motorsport has to offer. The term "Grand Prix" is not a callback, it's the same term that was used for important races in the 20's and 30's, because F1 fills the same niche that - most notably - the 750 kg formula filled back then. Said formula was put in place by the AIACR, which later became FISA. 750 kg was then replaced by a formula that relied on displacement restrictions and minimum weight, which then was replaced by a formula more or less designed to describe the racecars that had survived the war and were ready to race. The last one is the one rmagid was referring to above.

The only reason we call the newest iteration of this formula "formula 1" by now is that they, back then, felt the need to introduce formulas for smaller cars, too, so they were differentiated by the numbers. It is nothing different than what it was pre-war, however it is notably being run on less diverse events than it was back then.

More AI mistakes so that there can be FCY's more often, just like it is in IMSA.

Uh-Oh, I see we're at the "what is F1?" stage of dev diary deprivation!

No-one needs as many FCYs as real life IMSA!

So mean, but I will start
A Swedish company recently came out with a new cheese and it was odd at the start, but was really nice. I wonder if anyone else have add a similar experience recently

At the start i.e. in the beginning time-wise, or at the start of every piece of cheese?

A bit of both actually. It’s very odd, but I like the cheese
