Automobilista 2 May 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt1

Obviously the deal with IMSA scrambled plans somewhat, but there will be a Racin´ USA Bonus Pack later this year free to owners of the original 3-part pack.

 

There was never a DLC with Road Atlanta and the two other track that will be part of this upcoming DLC, hence you never bought it before. Racin´ USA was a 3-part Expansion Pack; the 3 parts were fulfilled. However since releases were spread further apart than originally planned and some of the content was scrambled between them, we proposed a Bonus 4th Racin´ USA Pack as a way to compensate these mishaps, which we will deliver in due time As suggested by the word "bonus" however this is something extra and not really part of the original deal. Naturally since we already announced it was coming people who bought the full expansion are perfectly entitled to enquire what they may expect when, but that shouldn´t be a source of confusion to the fact that what you paid for has already been delivered.

While I aknowledge as I have before that we made things difficult for ourselves with how the original set of DLCs were structured and that changes and delays caused justified unsatisfaction, I find this attidude of immediately assuming because you bought one thing you should be entitled to everything, or that any change of plans (even if it means you get more content for less money) is somehow an attempt at screwing you out of a few extra bucks rather unpalatable. If I feel that way about a company they never get my business again, and if that´s genuinely what you think happened that´s how you should proceed. But if you are going to hang around I´d appreciate a little more care with how you word enquiries for clarification.

Not every company is trying to scam you, not every suggestion or hint of a new content or feature is an unbreakable promise, not every time you don´t get exactly what you want is a slight that warrants protesting folks - people can misbehave in both sides of the counter but it´s a better world when both sides make a valiant effort not to.

 

The other way round - IMSA is owned by the NASCAR group.

 

Wise words worth having painted on the wall I do recognize we made things on the DLC front a bit too convoluted to keep track of.

Apologies if I came accross a little harsh - avoiding mixing too much caffeine with forum browsing is probably another lesson I should find some wall space for

 

Can´t say for sure it will be there on release, but over time we typically include all layouts that are both useable and used.
