I agree 100% my god i have spent too much time looking at Alpine LMDh pictures, watching Alpine videos, reading about Bruno Famin, studying the history of the Alps...

 

As far as i know there will be also a new UI...so we will have a brand new menu, sub-menus, interfaces..???

 

I’m probably not allowed to say anything, but a new UI means a new User Interface. Take it how you want

 

Whilst I don't speak for anyone but myself I think that others here would agree that Reiza's work ethic, tenacity and transparency are second to none and the fact you have no puppet masters and complete freedom with your decision making and direction you are taking this sim in, are truly appreciated by us minions. Big respect to you and your team. I hope in the end you guys get the benefits for your time and efforts that you thoroughly deserve.

 

Hopefully this update will not mess up our settings file.

 

Nothing has broken for me yet in the beta

 

I'm pretty certain some settings will be force-reverted to default, but I don't think input/FFB settings are going to be one of them - but who knows what they're planning.

 

In vague terms, how extensive are the changes? New as in "similar with needed QOL tweaks and improvements" or new as in "unrecognisable"?

 

It think you were spot on few pages back that some peoples obsession to Reiza is unhealthy and they should attend to AA (Automobilistaholics, not alcoholics) meetings right now. (If they already haven't)

 

Im just hoping that they managed to fix the pesky setup bug where your setup doesnt load correctly and keeps reverting until you deliberately save it again as a new setup.

Probably one of the bugs that actually sucks enjoyment out of the sim sometimes, together with:
The TC/ABS Bug when it occurs
any multiplayer related issues, due to sync at start or wrong finishing positions due to a close race to the line etc.

 

We don't know, and if we knew, I'm pretty sure that would fall within the things we're not supposed to leak

 

haha yes, i have a picture of it now as my desktop background and i think I watched every onboard available of it yesterday night.

 

Many waiting for new cars, new interface and tire physics, I want all of this, but I'm looking forward to something very simple, the beautiful and bright lights of P2P, come 1.6, I miss what we haven't experienced yet!

 

Have you guys seen this video by Driver61? It's about this rookie category called "Formula Student", which is a small 250kg "kart" with wings and suspension.
There are both petrol and electric versions. It has 4 mini engines, one for each wheel. The drivers is aided both by a traditional TC system and a software to manage each engine depending on what the car is doing. It can recover energy while braking and as if it was not enough, some of them even have active suspension.
It's basically a mini 1993 Formula car. Lots of speed, downforce and technology.

 

I wouldn't mind if one of these cars made an appearance in the game, since they seem to be pretty popular lately, even in Brazil.
BUT even if these cars would make an appearance in AMS2 or not I do believe karts need more love. All the karts models and also the AI behaviour. If Reiza inteds to create something like a career mode in the future karting is the basis where it all should start from. But they need more work, maybe an overhaul. I ain't no driver. I can't really describe how I feel about AMS2 karts. But I do prefer AMS1 karts over AMS2.
Make little cars great again.

 

Will these lights be present in v1.6?

 

I wish we get one in AMS2. They can probably find a uni student who can help them
