Yup I know it's kinda hard for a dev to admit these kinds of things, hence the radio silence whenever we complain about MP. But I guess the rumors are true that Reiza is bound to this P2P 'pick up and play' online mode of Project Cars 2 and they are locked into it for the long run. And redoing the whole mode would probably jeopardize the code or whatever.

Ah well, that's a no no for any serious league racing or any major endurance events (which is sad because who wouldn't want to hold enduro's with great content like this), but if online stability improves at least I'll still keep organizing shorter events with AMS2. In the notes of the low downforce versions a mysterious third circuit was mentioned. Imagine that's Le Mans and you'll be stuck with holding some sprint races there.. :D

Since we had the low downforce variants of GT1 for the longest time, what does that mean for the cars actual aerodynamic performance?
Was the update to add the higher downforce variants of those cars only visual or did it really increase their downforce?

I have this same question, although maybe worded a bit differently. Why wouldn't the generic car be put into the game?
Edit to elaborate: F1 doesn't seem to mind a generic version of their car, since it's not using the actual license. Why/How does IndyCar stop the team from putting a generic, unlicensed version of the IndyCar into AMS2?

did GT1 and Gr. C raced in any other low downforce track?

Nope, for Group C they didn't even run the minimum downforce anywhere but Le Mans.

This is such really great news! WooHoo! Now if only LFM would add AMS2 to their multiplayer platform someday...

    1) That's nice! Since we're talking about improved support for peripherals is there any chance controller users will get the option to completely disable all controller filters & dampers that mess up the steering? In AMS1 we can do that, enable raw input and fine tune from there and controls feel way more responsive than in AMS2.
    2) That's a good one, I had mentioned it earlier today in this thread but I had no idea we'd get it this quickly. :)

This is what confuses me the most too. I would imagine it's because they still want to close a deal with Indycar, and that's probably the reason of why they're keeping the car for now. I would hope that even if the deal doesn't work out we can still get a generic version of it like we have with F-USA and so on. Me and my friends were looking forward to it a lot, and I think it'd be a great addition to the sim, modern Indy is so fun to drive and race, even if it might not be the official cars (which honestly I don't mind, I run livery mods anyways lol)

Ian is an expert in hyping things up :D
But then it's dead in the water or they bail shortly after a game does indeed make it to release.

Renato didn't rule it out, just not anytime soon. My guess is either weird license issues with MSG, potentially IMS still have their minds set on a full IndyCar game, or both parties are still having issues agreeing on terms. With IMS being suddenly added to the game, I would guess it's a good sign, though I could be wrong.
