The tools are there in AMS2 as they were in PC2 in terms of limiting performance of a car. Seeing the ballast option added would be a really good idea as well. Where AMS2 as did PC2 fall short is there is just no way for like a league host/leader to actually enforce restrictions, nor is there a way for a player to enforce performance restrictions on AI outside of editing the AI files, but that isn't reducing the cars performance so its a band-aid option to me.

I've believed this since PC2 that allowing players to set their own BoPs on historic content would be good for the game not only in MP, but also single player as well as it allows more diverse content and it also can allow for different scenarios to take place. Basically more autonomy on car balance in game for the players is a good thing across the board IMO.

If any sim could get the sound like this, I'd buy it regardless of how it played. In fact I'd buy it twice to support the dev :D

Crazy how Indy really isn't much different from how it was back then, it's safer now but hardly anything has changed in regards to the general look of the place
Plus it would be less work for Reiza to do for a historic version, hypothetically of course

They'd have to remove a lot and then add some different patches to the race track...

The biggest issue would be all the old stands and buildings that have been replaced and upgraded...

The indycar license states that exclusivity is condition to motorsport games not being bankrupt. This hasn't happened yet but they are on their way to it. They have lost their NASDAQ listing.

So, I would say the Indycar license just went up for grabs...

On a side note, I just realized how much MSG had locked down. They could have screwed up racing games for the next decade or more!

    Games
    Rfactor 2
    Kart Craft
    NASCAR Heat
NASCAR ABOMINATION (the only thing they made and didn't buy off someone else)

    Licenses
    NASCAR 7 years
    Indycar 10 year
    WEC 10 years
LeMans 24 Hours event 10 years
    Formula E (via Rfactor)
    BTCC 10 years

    Website
    TRAXION.GG (or however its spelled)

Also for what its worth, Iracing and Dale JR and teasing a Dirt to Daytona reboot and let's remember INDYCAR CAME TO REIZA STUDIOS so... I would say the writing it pretty on the wall.

I just hope now the WEC license goes to Reiza so we could see the BEAUTIFUL FERRARI!

Interestingly they completed their stock swap last week in order to keep the share price over a dollar and stay listed but that led to them not having enough shares on the market to be listed either. Perhaps these latest events are also related to putting their house in order as they still have till the end of the year to fix things. Amazingly, analysts (IMO astrologists in expensive suits) were projecting strong revenue outlook for the next 2 years so someone is wrong!
Motorsport Games (NasdaqCM:MSGM) Stock Price & Quote Analysis - Simply Wall St

Maybe Motorsport Network is not willing to bankroll the operation anymore and they can´t find anyone else that rich and stupid - if that´s the case then it is indeed game over.

Remember, it ain't over till it's over! The company needs to properly either disband or declare bankruptcy with correct announcements before we can come to a conclusion

...Drinks are on me for the celebrations if it does happen though ;)

Well some more facts I've learned

Their entire board of directors has resigned.
They are 30 million in the red as of right now
Those analysts are only looking at the strength of their licenses and not the quality of their products would be my best guess. Currently their 30 million in the red and have 30 days to explain how they intend to pay for it, and only the CEO is left.

They're going to have to sell a lot of RFactor DLC and I mean ALOT if they want to save this company.
