Think they haven’t implemented it due to bad optimisation

Pretty sure they already discussed why snow isn't included a while back, I believe the reason cited was that it would be somewhat of a waste of resources and that it wasn't really fit for the whole "super serious simulator" role AMS2 is trying to provide

I think people in the forum have made that comment but I don't remember Reiza having said so.

I'd remember the feeling of my heart breaking.

SNOW IS CRITICAL TO THE ALL WEATHER SIMULATION. I WANT SNOW!!! Don’t know how much snow there is in Brazil, but Sweden is FULL OF SNOW. If they want to add off-road, then snow is IMPORTANT

I don't care if they add the Mojave desert, I'll still make it snow, realism be damned, I'm about the fun and doing things I can't in real life. :D

Put me down as "please don't spend the time needed to make all the textures and physics tests required to make snowy tracks", to me personally it felt like such an unnecessary gimmick in Project Cars 2 (as with so many unfinished things in that game!).

By that token thunderstorms are a gimmick, most of the mainstream sports don't run in those conditions, heck, even a moderately damp track resulted in us having a sub 40 minute F1 race at Suzuka this year (they went straight out on inters). People at the side of the track (commonly requested) would be a gimmick too, as would be custom helmets.

A pack is coming out called the extreme pack, including motorsports (probably) that have giant metal jumps on the track.

You will find motorsport continuing all over the world even in the snow, as someone who worked in the mountains, believe me, there is LOTS of serious racing in the snow and several of the cars used are already in the game. I used to watch the races on the pistes between shifts.

Not trying to change your mind, you don't have to want snow but it is no more a gimmick than many of the other features people want or ones that are already in the game: A tunnel to an offshore platform that you have to leave the track and explore to find in Cleveland for example. Why waste resources making all of that off-track stuff?

Also here is Formula 5000 racing in the snow.

Super serious? AMS2 literally allows you to teleport your car back on track lol

Having snow as a weather option would be more realistic than that.
