IndyCar isn’t bigger than anything in America.

As long as making new car mods for AC is as simple as snatching a 3d model and slapping Kunos physics onto it, AC will go on forever, especially as the SOL/Custom Shader Patch modders keep working their magic. I do love the modding aspect of AC dearly but until someone can actually improve the AI, I’m gonna stick to AMS2. I don’t miss the gamble of downloading mods that could maybe be OK but are most likely unsalvageable.

 

Sometimes I think it's important to remember that modding goes both ways. I remember learning this from Nr2003... all the lazy GPL conversions makes my head spin. It's so hard finding good quality mods, so many free ones buried in various Patreons and Discords all varying levels of quality.

 

The Netflix F1 series has def helped the popularity of F1 in the US, but I'd still consider both sports to be more niche than mainstream unfortunately. Nascar is pretty big in the south, but road racing just doesn't seem to be that popular.

 

There is an Indy series coming out next year called "100 days to Indy" so hopefully that will be good. The racing is fantastic but they have some work to do for sure. However... Long Beach was packed last year so there's hope.

Is that a drive to survive clone? I think every series has one of those, even motogp have their own ‘backstage’ dramatical tv show.

 

Bonjour à tous, personnellement je pense qu'il y a un bon début de quelque chose qui pourrait être fort avec les GT1. Si nous pouvions en avoir plus, il pourrait être très intéressant de savoir si cela attire le public et ces GT1 ont plutôt bien vieilli et restent un vrai plaisir à conduire. Et quand je vois la popularité du mod pack GT1 sur AC ça montre l'intérêt du public. Bien sûr, avoir les droits réels de mettre ces voitures dans AMS2 ne devrait pas être donné, mais cela fait partie d'un doux rêve pour moi. Désolé, j'utilise Google traduction...

 

I'd love more GT1 cars... Some of my favourite to drive...

 

Once we got the Nissan and hopefully the Toyota I'd love to get something like mid-200 GT1. This era had so many bangers like the Saleen S7R, Maserati MC12, the Lister Storm, Vipers, Murcuielagos, Aston Martins, Ferraris, C5-R and so so much more

 

And it's so hard to choose from just the ones you listed...

 

On the sixth day of Christmas (year to be confirmed), Reiza sent to me

Four historic tracks
Three Supercars
Two Stadium trucks
And a roadmap for future DLC

 

I wonder if everything's deliberately being held off until the 25th as a Christmas surprise type thing, there's been complete radio silence from Renato pretty much all month so I wouldn't be surprised if something's being cooked up

 

I have my doubts. This is the best window to sell content all year and they are missing it (no updates even for the beta boys it seems) so as said before a million times, I´ll be happy with st getting the Ring track this year and the rest can wait for whenever. Will we get it? Not looking promising.

 

If you read the rumblings over at iRacing... We might be waiting until the 1st...

 

I've no expectations for the release date eitherway honestly, I've gotten used to Reiza working in Valve time at this point so I'm hoping for a release this month but keeping my expectations muted

 

It could be a Christmas miracle
