Well Roy isn t my best buddy cause of negativ outputs all the time but this is also for my civil- engineer brain a logical statement … also @Renato Simioni has replied minutes ago.

    Btw
The whole thread is full of wishes and assumptions from the customers, seems something will go wrong with the next Dev update 1.1.5. or in other words: a update around the ams2 community.

I've raced against him several times and he's always been fine. I'm sure he'll reply in here if he really cares, but he's said before that he doesn't cheat to win, since there's no fun in that. It's just exposing problems with games so developers can do something about it. Race against him yourself and you'll see the same.

Exactly what I wanted to hear. This'll probably have a nice ripple effect that'll make AI racing in a lot of cars much better. Cheers!

you use the present tense, do you have evidence that he is still doing that?

Basically MSG needs to go bust before Reiza can license indycar. Its written somewhere in here https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1821175/000149315221016888/ex10-2.htm

Is this going to happen? Well they listed on the NASDAQ for $33 a share, and are now worth less than a dollar per share. upload_2022-10-29_14-4-11.png

    yes above

i mean reiza can hire who they want, but my level of respect for reiza will drop massively if they employ someone who has been an ass in the sim racing community

I havent really played a lot of RF2 since the last update, but has it improved so much with a single update? Because it was far from being miles better than Ams2, in fact it seemed worse, cars crashing a lot and braking mid corner, maybe they suffer as well depending on the track-car combo.

I agree about the AI going of track a little too much, but I love their dynamism, coupled with the mechanical failures they now can have(in the car classes that have the feature), makes the racing a lot of fun in my opinion, no 2 races are the same. There is really no perfect AI on any game and I would rather have dynamic, fun and unpredictable races even if that means a couple of quirks, than have a perfect behaved ai that makes no mistakes and just follows each other (GT7, ACC looking at you) making races a boring procession.

Of course they need improvement, Reiza themselves have aknowledge it, but they are not unplayable by any means.

Just my 2 cents, will give RF2 a try later today, curious to see the improvements.

This is fantastic news! I've really been enjoying getting to grips with the F-Retros Gen 1 70's cars and this track will be the perfect excuse to start playing with the Formula vintage 60's cars!

By the sounds of it there's been some real hard work and detail gone into this, also sounds like it will be a good estimation of the track with the lidar scanning of the existing roads, and imaginative creative estimations of the parts that just ar'nt there anymore. Must have taken a hell of alot of looking at old videos, photos and stuff. Should imagine the team maybe got to speak to a few of the old locals who may have been around and living there during ther 60's, if they did I bet they had some interesting stories to tell. Does the house still exist on the Masta Kink where Jackie Stewart came off and ended up upside down in the celler of said house, trapped in his car whilst the split fuel bags leaked petrol all over the place and 30 mins later Graham hill crashed nearby and then came to his aid?

Im really looking forward to seeing what you guys do with this track as i've been using the historic tracks more and more on my server and I love them! One of the stand out parts of the game is these historic variants! I look forward to trying to re-create the 1966 Belgium GP there.
I did this over two years ago in RF2 as it has the old version of Spa and recorded it, but its old ISI graphics and for some reason the road textures turn jet black when it rains. Still, driving the old 60's super coffins around there is an exhilarating experience and a bloody scary one aswell, even just in a simulator!

Here's that recording, skip to 7:31 to get to the bit where im just about to go through the Masta Kink.

Actually on that note (seeing as i was talking in the video about not knowing what you're gunna hit if you come off), a question for Reiza please! Will there be the odd movable object like fencing, poles, heybails and stuff around the track?
On certain tracks in AMS2 light fencing and poles (like the ones around the first corner of historic Hockenheim) are moveable and demolishable and can even cause damage to the more fragile cars if hit hard enough, I love this! But i've noticed over time that some of the track fencing has stopped doing that and become non physical (like at historic Interlagos), you can just drive through it and it just stays there! I all that fencing would still be at least demolishable, even if it does'nt damage the car, real immersion killer when you can just drive through them. please Reiza make this happen!

Oh one more question, how will you deal with pit speed limits at this version of Spa, as IRL back then the pits were litterally open on the right side of the track, no wall (fecking dangerous back then in'it!) and as far as i know, no speed limit. Will your version be the same?

Cheers for this track, nice one!

Don’t know if has to do with MSG, but I believe the sim racing community would be better off without MSG. Either they go bust or get a complete restructuring.

If I may request something. With Le Mans, I really hope if we can get the Mazda 787B. My favourite prototype car and the one with the most iconic sound

ik we are meant to race the f-vintage around old spa, but I think some other cars are going to make it even crazier. Anyone for f-classic gen1 at max boost?

Hmm, yeah that sounds like a bit of a choke hold, although it does state the Licensor still has the right to sublicense, I don't know much about law but, does that suggest they can grant licence to anyone they see fit after the original agreement? If so, hope for Reiza to get it yet!

woulda been awesome if we could get the best of both worlds with the option of custom p2p servers or even custom dedicated servers and a main dedicated server with ranking system

but that woulda been a lot of work sadly

More historic content, brilliant! But im a bit confused about this one, as my historic knowledge of the track is'nt all that great (even though i've driven it in sims countless times and love it!), has the layout of the Nords changed alot, thought it had been the same (apart from minor changes and resurface of course) for a very long time. Or is this a historic version of the GP track, which is a different kettle of bubbles I guess?

Has it been confirmed that it's the 1971 Nordschleife we're getting? I've been holding fragile hopes for the Südschleife or the Gesamtstrecke.
