some of the so called modders (or porters as i like to call them) dont even know what a 3d model is (let alone creating a new or "editing" an existing model, stolen or not) and how to make a single logo in their (cracked) PS/GIMP/whatever, mate

 

Unfortunately, a very unpleasant (I say anomaly) of Ams2 is the vibration of the steering axis and the wheel when using dds with the defaults.In addition, the pendulum of the wheel increases the more you increase the in-game damping.You don't have any pendulum of the wheel because the file eliminates it

My R12, even at 75%, has very large oscillation with Default+ (v1.5.6).
R16/R21 are a different hardware altogether, maybe they already had the "new" firmware now available on the lower end wheelbases (R5-R9-R12)?

I use mods mainly to fill the grid (not to drive) as they provide a very diverse landscape (both on car type/model but also many liveries).

For which country/region/state? There is no "universal law", although the guidelines may have similitudes.

 

What happens if you set inertia to the lowest level? For me that actually seems to get rid of oscillation more than even upping it slightly?

 

I know I started this all, but can we save the very detailed, hardware-specific discussions (also for all the VR-related stuff) to the appropriate threads?

 

The oscillations are at the lowest setting (100%). They generate a runaway effect. At 200% it is mostly eliminated and at 250% it has strong, but very small amplitude vibrations. At this point, it stays at stable equilibrium, the car does go straight without my intervention.

The cars should self-centre, just like a real car, if your settings are correct. In fact, the Default+ errs towards the side of too much resistance at centre if one wants to get picky.

Needing to dial-out these strange effects (with anything other than the in-game sliders) brings me back to the original point--something is amiss at the foundation level.

 

What wheelbase firmware are you on?

I have 500 hours in AMS2 but recently took a 6 month break from PC with a PS5 and have been 'stuck' playing ACC and GT7.

Just got a new PC rig in the weekend (mostly as I was missing AMS2 and want to try LMU) and its even better than I remember - cannot wait for 1.6 but 1.5xxx is still an incredibly enjoyable simulator in the meantime.

 

Maybe people are tired of talking about tires in 1.6?

 

What else do you want to talk here. If you say release date ? They are an army of angry that will say stop. They already play 1.6 anyway. Plus, all the team are in burnout and stop working on the update for who know how many weeks or months. .there is nothing to discust here except be patient, it will come when its ready. Soon, not to long. What i know is I will play it a lot and be very happy with it.
