Automobilista 2 September 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt2

I have never had this option before. Maybe it's a public BETA test? I don't know...it's there though. EDIT: I tried to install, asks for BETA code..so I guess it is just for beta testers. Oh well. It confused me because I never had the option before.

 

Just been doing some laps around Nords in *a car* in wet conditions, my thoughts are aptly described in the pic below...

Thats the regular release candidate channel, which is the same as the regular build, if or when a new release candidate is released, Renato will make a new thread on the forum for it.

Steamdb also isn't showing any changes in 2 months.

 

No but Youtube previews promised within the "next few days" can be.

 

You should not listen to anyone who is not Reiza when discussing update release dates

 

Perhaps some of you could go pester YT influencers as to why their segments about the 1.6 update haven't come out yet. Demand that they release them now, even if they haven't finished them or are not satisfied that they are good enough quality.

Then, you can bash them for doing a hatchet job, like the one that was rushed out and got universally hammered.

Just to take a bit of a break and then you can come back and pester about the pending AMS 2 update and the write-up about the update. Have some variety in the "annoying all involved" work project.

 

I'm sure some will be frustrated by the additional wait, but team deserves to take a break. Trying to get a project over the line when everyone is tired and dealing with burn out doesn't make sense for the devs, and leads to bugs and issues they wouldn't normally miss. Anyone who does project based work should recognize this.

Keep in mind this update includes an improved tire model, updated shaders, improved audio, improved weather, a brand new UI, multiplayer improvements, the largest content the game has ever seen, and a number of notable bug fixes and QoL updates.

When studio 397 did that with RF2 they sold it as Le Mans Ultimate.

Le Mans Ultimate is a fully licensed WEC sim, and a new game, which the content reflects. Of course there is RF2’s DNA in LMU, and they didn’t entirely re-invent the wheel, which would be idiotic, considering that RF2 did a lot that was very good e.g., FF, handling, physics. In my view it’s a brilliant sim for fans of endurance racing, and the WEC.

 

If only I was rich enought, i would pay the 100$ usd just to play earlier as a paddock club member. The game could be main game. For now, i can’t drive easily my gt3 cars. They spine a lot

 

Just read about some data mine in last beta build having some Ferrari content... Should I belive it?

 

I'd work on getting your FFB set-up properly rather than waiting for 1.6. Bonus--when 1.6 arrives, you will be ready to enjoy it to the fullest.

The GT3 cars do not spin that easily (in any version), so I suspect you have a controller issue that is confounding your ability to drive them.

And, Paddock Club is not available for any amount of $. You missed it due to timing. Some of us have been supporting Reiza long before AMS 2 was ever thought about.

Yeah maybe ? My car drive like a mustang. I struggle in the corner exist. If i turn my wheel to fast i spinne. Maybe my calibration is bad

 

Or i always need to redirect a bit my car position after a corner

 

Idk.. The thing is data mine is nothing out of this world players do all the time. So files might indeed be there. Could also be PC2 files but then, it's been like years, past due some cleanup

 

My force feedback is vanilla with a decrease in gain. What should I modify
