So presumably someone will come along and buy it and get the WEC license. But if not...? I can fantasize about WEC + IMSA in AMS2 can't I? I know it won't happen. Fun to dream of though.

Yeah, fair enough. I think he was referring to neal's post above yours which tagged him specifically in relation to FFB so figured he may as well respond to your FFB question in that context.

 

Not true ffb loss is known issue and has been in RF2 for YEARS ! and is now in LMU. I`ve had the ffb disapear on both my TGT-II and R9 on different pc`s and you can find post regular on steam about to this day.

 

I guess serenity comes with age. I also remember my anxiety waiting for the "new toys".
If AMS2 was fantastic yesterday, it still is fantastic today, right?

About the FFB...
It is essential to find the correct one for me, not the one Max Verstappen uses .
I urge everyone to try different ones... one of them might just click and transform the sim! (it can be one of the defaults!!). Also, give a try for more than a lap... it may take time to understand the language that specific FFB is talking.

 

Man I really dont see the problem with waiting. Some people are like 8year olds before christmas..

Never had the problem, but even though I have all the DLC (minus electric cars) for rF2, I've spent very little time in it, so I'll take your word for it.

 

And that's why the sim has a "FFB reset button"... AMS2 doesn't need one .
You can play for weeks without a problem, the next day you need to reset FFB every session.

Edited: on my rig, a button doubles as "MAIN DISPLAY" and "FFB Reset" for rF2

 

yep, unless of course Reiza screw up things with 1.6 then after the "where is my update???", we will have the GEN Z people shouting "why my cars don't feel right now???"

side note, I am no Verstappen so not sure which of your Custom FFB he is using, but for me I have settled on my R9 with your Full FFB v13, its superb

 

had a TSPC Racer and now a R9, never had any problem with RF2 FFB loss, like ever
The only issue I am having in these still hot Japanese summer days is the R9 motor overheating and reducing torque but this applies to any Sim

are these guys in closed beta not supposed to be under NDA, so not allowed to communicate on what this infamous update feels like?

 

We are explicitly allowed to say what it feels like. For obvious reasons we are discouraged to publically spread negative thoughts about it, but even that I'm not sure has been strictly forbidden.

Not sure what the guy in the video says, not a language I speak.

 

I think it have had good reasons REIZA decided to use MADNESS engine for making AMS2. I'm pretty sure they tested Studio 397's engine when making the REIZA pack for Rf2 an came to some issues they didn't like. So they decided to go the hard way with madness and i doubt they want to invest the same work (if not even more) into a new one where the success is lying years away (after eventually finishing AMS2 in a few years)
