I guess that eventhough it would not be an exactly competitive issue if the TT start position on Nordschleife was just before the starting line - then it would keep a lot of people from even bother making an effort to run a TT lap.:D

In a testing session at the Nordschleife Tourist, the clock evidently doesn't start until I've completed a lap. Is this the same issue as in a TT lap? I swear, the clock did start one time after leaving the pit, but I can't reproduce it. I've tried every iteration of backing up, turning around etc, but still can't get the clock to start (as described by AndreiC). It would make more sense to adjust the pit out so that one can start a timed lap immediately. I assume that is how it's done on the real track?

Thanks for the kind words - we agree the option to save multiple concurrent championships is important and we´re working on it; ditto for placing starting positions on TT laps further back from the s/f line.

Great, maybe just before the last braking point before s/f?

Is it only me who finds the Opala old stock + the opala 79 very strange and difficult to drive? I think the best of them is the opala 86 in terms of driving..

Why does the Mercedes Benz CLK LM not have an gear indicator?
Look here, behind the wheel (bad quality but noticeable):

And the McLaren F1 GTR had a shifting indicator like to see here:

Or this red marker should be placed at the max rpm instead somewhere in the Sahara

    @Koen_Sch
It is not a joke, like here at Imola 1988 it is perfect just before the final corners / chicane, enough time for preparation

I think these cars were not easy to drive due to they had profiled tires instead of slicks like opala 86. The whole suspension is very soft with little stability compared to 1986.

The Merc you are showing is the 1999 CLR not the 1998 CLK LM...

I wonder how much longer it’ll be until we get Historic Nordschleife. Not complaining or being impatient at all - PLENTY to be getting on with in the meantime! - but I can’t help but look forward to it. The Procar is waiting!

Man also this video is from the 1999 car.. It's a different one, please search on internet and you will see the CLK LM and the CLR are visibly different also on the outside...

Since the hotfix, having changed nothing but my FFB (which feels pretty good now on Default after playing with the settings a tad), the Merc GT1 now actually feels perfectly fine. I can't just floor it everywhere like my previous experience. It is indeed alive and no longer rides like its on rails. I cannot for the life of me explain it and I am sure this sort of thing is as frustrating for Rieza as it was for me.

Just thought I would report back that the GT1 now feels great to drive. Just finished a 10 lap quick race at Spa driving it and the AI is miles better than it used to be. Much better behaved and predictable. Sure, it can still do with some work but this has restored my confidence that the AI may actually not be completely unfixable. In fact , that last race I did was brilliant fun! (All in VR)

thanks, reiza, great work as always.

there is just one small thing that bothers me a bit concerning adjusting the camera views.
in general, i like all the helmet cameras as they are by default, but change the cockpit views to my convenience in most of the cars ingame with my binded keys for up/down, forward/backward. now, i have noticed that i alter the helmet cam, too (what i do not want), when i adjust the cockpit cam. so, both cameras have the same values. would be nice, if we could modify each camera alone without changing another cam automatically, too.;)

Sorry, my fault, you are right.
But I hardly can not understand if a race car does not have a gear indicator (with a seq. gearbox) or shifting lights or rpm bar / rpm meter,... I think these are the fundamentally things for a race driver and car.

Ah ok. I thought you meant right at the braking zone, meaning you would instantly miss the final corner. But yes, that would be ideal.

2021 seems very blurry for me in terms of what to expect from AMS2. There will be a roadmap to be published like the one last year?
Awesome developments are taking place under the hood but it is all abstracted for enthusiasts.
