    There´s an error launching the game after the latest hotfix which is being rectified now - please hold :)

    EDIT: Fixed now, apologies for the inconvenience. Please restart Steam to make sure you have the amended build.

    Same, major emergancy this has just freaked me the feck out as my VR has gone mad at same time, but interestingly thats with everything making me wonder if this infact a steam meltdown. Help! Call the police (no last people you should call), scratch that, resurect Stephen Hawkins, alert David Attenbourgh, Notify Stephen Fry. ARGHHHHHHH!

    This readiness from the devs side to listen and corrects introduced issues is pretty remarkable compared to most other racing game devs.
    Multo apperciated.:D
    And beside the extra-ordinare good car behaviour in AMS2 (hehe in certain cars) then this readiness is one of the reasons I will probably keep AMS2 as my goto-sim for a long time.:)

    ByTheWay: And eventhough there is some in this forum who would appreciate if people like me who cannot use a FFB wheel should be denied any oppinions about grip and car behaviour questions in AMS2 - then I still have a VERY positive oppinion about some cars in this sim.
    Also grip and behaviour wise:p

    same error : Unable to connect with error: Steam App not subscribed

    Feels much better at Bathurst time trial than 1.1.1.0. Noway I can match my 1.1.0.5 times set for the GT1's. I don't mind because it feels really nice and I like the extra challenge the cars are now presenting. I often thought they were somewhat too planted. I suspect others too will find it difficult to beat their previous times. Maybe it is possible with some serious time put into the setup.

    These were my previous 1.1.0.5 times with slightly modified default setups. I just tested the Mercedes and I am in the mid 58's..

    Porsche - 1:55.9
    Mercedes - 1.57.0
    McLaren - 1:57.3

    Very much improved. Thank you guys! At 120% Ai I can still pass the car in front however that might be due to a strong draft effect and it is much further down the Kemmel straight. Maybe a couple more percent would have been worth trying.. Still very happy that I can't pass 4 cars easily like before. :cool:

    add: The Ai P1 pace is much improved and very slick.. Nice one!

    Re-tested the Bathurst Ai top end speed down Conrod straight. It continues to be a issue.

    My Top Speed

    Porsche 295-300 kph
    Mercedes default setup -1 rear wing 285 kph

    Ai Top Speed - 120%

    Porsche - 285 kph
    Mercedes - 271 kph
    McLaren - 272 kph

    What I think is that the prio should be the approach to what feels correct, if that harms time trial times they should be reset, and not model the game around so it wont harm existing set times.

    I think that's a fair point, it would be good to know which the devs feel is the more accurate base grip level, that is the one I would rather see implemented.

    Very good one! The more ability to draft, the better. Without this, racing becomes super hard to do competitively.

    I think this is the best AMS2 has ever felt.. If people aint happy with this then I don't know what else to say..

    Various minor default differential & suspension adjustments for all cars (setup reset recommended)

    So we are resetting to default setup for every car? Just making sure. Anything happening with Ginetta G55 GT4 getting ABS/TC and wipers?

    Programe running again now, so ive called off the Stephens and the David. Now of to try new A.I. updates amongst others. Excited!!!!!!!!!!

    Quite honestly. Do you really think the devs would have reset the grip level to what it was before - if they consider this resat grip level/distribution off?
    Come on :rolleyes:
    They have probably way more integrity than that.:cool:

    ByTheWay: As @Renato Simioni did mention in the discussion about what has happened to the grip distribution on some cars - this new grip balance was probably an un-intended outcome of different other update tweaks ;)

    My own attitude to this is not resetting anything and then test my best old setups out.
    But if something feels weird in my favorite car(s) I try to reset the setup - and then dial the orig values in.
    And then test out if this resat setups also feels weird.

    ByTheWay: Normally the result of this procedure is that I can keep my old setups :D

    Ok so in the notes it states:

    "Reverted track base grip & range to pre v1.1.1.0 values (corrects Time Trial grip levels being slightly lower in the last release)"

    The latter part of that sentence could easily be interpreted as the reversion was implemented to fix Time Trial more than anything else. You can also see that I wasn't the only person immediately curious whether this may or may not be the case. It's not an accusation nor a criticism, I'm not saying either is more correct/better or preferable than the other. It was just a question. It would just be interesting to understand why sometimes the devs choose one option over another.

    timetrial is a physics result, any medium physic change should dump current timetrial. (I have several hour in some cars/track combos on TT... but still).
