Good, no stuttering with reduced to player only. Is it so demanding?

Is AMS2 on a HDD at your system? Do you have the possibility to try it on an SSD?

The Pitcrew loading stutter is an issue of these kind of game engines, since they exist...

Seems to be still one of the most demanding things then, yeah.

And also occurs on modern gaming PC's, as often reported in the Bug Report thread.

That's the point. The PC is likely not the limitation, that causes the stutter.

An option to completely disable pitcrews would be nice.

Yes... Also, the invisible man is driving them. In VR this is somehow too weird. Had some TT records in them, but this one annoying dude kept one-upping me...

Something just doesnt feel right atm in the Opala's, the old stock and the 79 are so understeery with loads of grip on the rear end and NO oversteer pretty much at all. The Old Stock used to be really fun and challenging to get good time but now its just avoid the understeer , keep the front tyres on the ground and you will be setting world record times lap after lap.

Oh yeah, they have no rear brake calipers if you look through the wheel

It feels really odd kicking the clutch at full throttle on a slow second gear corner and not getting cars to kick out at all. Cars seems to start to come around but at a certain angle the cars physics seems to straighten them out. Weird.

That's not what is represented in game! Not for the old stock. Slotted discs without calipers. Have a look .

You are right. Would the original series from 1979 have converted rear disk brakes?

I don't know about the 79 but from what I've read the Old Stock is a old car made more modern with brakes and suspension.

There are two versions of this car in AMS2. 79 Stock Cars and Oldstock. If Oldstock is a modernized version then I presume 79 Stock Cars follows the original series so the question remains should that one vehicle have disk or drum rear brakes..?

3 versions ;) one is 84 model, has the little rear wing and seems like it is a lot stiffer suspension.

    Edit: correction, 1986

Disc brakes were introduced to racing in the 1950s, not in the late 1970s. It would really surprise me if someone was so masochistic that they mandated drum brakes on the front wheels of a late 1970s racing series!

As far as I understand, in '79 they were stock with no modifications allowed. Even the rear seats are still there. So they may have had drum brakes. I remember the older version of the '79 had truly atrocious brakes.
