Automobilista 2 V1.2.2.0 RELEASED!

Just sneaked in 4 laps while i'm supposed to be home schooling my kids I like your setup. Will have to pop back later to see if i can get closer to yours and @oez 's time. I swapped between yours and his, (2 laps each) there are differences (i think), with the rebound. Not sure which i prefer from those few laps.

Well, it should be self explanatory that vintage cars, belong on historic tracks. AMS2 delivers enough tracks for every decade sinde the 60's. BUT, we do not yet have a 70's Spa, the natural habitat of 70's GT Cars.

 

I think Reiza should promote a TT of the week type event on all socials and really get the community involved and word of mouth spreading (they will need to use some program to stop @nemesis from playing though).

Since this new version, I have lost the ability to change gear manually. Even by redefining the setting several times (I have a Fanatec CSL Elite steering wheel which still works very well on other simulations, rFactor2 among others), nothing to do, the gears do not change and I have to switch to automatic gearbox to to roll...
Maybe I'm the only one with this problem and maybe not ... But I can say that it totally spoils my pleasure of riding with AMS2 (which, incidentally, I really appreciate).

Manual shifting works fine for me. Fanatec DD1, using the Fanatec wheel preset. But I'm using an SHH shifter, not a Fanatec one.
Have you tried deleting the controller settings from the Documents/Automobilista2 folder?

 

Pretty sure my issue was different, but I couldn’t bind H-shifter gears before changing to wheel make custom and restarting the game.

It might also help to delete the controller profile file altogether and start over. Guide at the end of this video:

And what about historic Car Races @Nürburgring Süd + Nordschleife,held every year in Summer?
Sure they are not on 70's tyres but why not give us "modern" tyres too,for modern tracks.

And I have pointed this low speed anomali out before.
But as I see it it is NOT only AMS2 that has this general physics/TM BUG.
It is more or less all commercial racing games that cannot cope with the fact that even my grandma´s old car dont slide if she by chance is cornering with 40-50km/h.

The problem is (IMO) that all racing games use the same tire model to cover both low and high speed cornering.
They just adjust the sliding percent/value - without any obvious lower threshold.

ByTheWay: I have also pointed out before that the only racing game with another approach is/was NetKar Pro - who was able to use 2 different TM´s. One for low and one for high speed.
