I am with you on this, the slow speed behaviour is odd, the rear is going out much to often for no good reason at reasonable slow speeds <80km/h, also understeer is ridicoulously high at speed <80km/h particulary for a cars with -0.2" toe out.

 

I'm not sure I feel this through my wheel.
What's your time now ?

Laying in bed at 4am (can't sleep from pain ) it would be great to have the Web chart instead of having to fire up the game to see times.

 

Anyone who is struggling with the RSR, check out this video. You're not alone - the best of the best had a hard time with it. Very cool historic video with commentary by Sir Jackie Stewart and Keith Jackson (Whoooooa Nellie!).

 

What I see there is: The cars are very soft rollbar wise in the rear, springs for sure in general and obviously dont swing around as soon as you hit the grass with one tyre under full throttle. The real one seems a lot more controllable and forgiving regarding the rear coming around when in slightly of from ideal line.

Such values are not even possible in AMS2, neither are the depending softer damper settings.
These ranges, as well as toe in in the front and LSD ramps should be acessible for us in setup.
10mm more chassis height in rear and front would not be wrong either.

1.6° front camber seems a bit agressive since the front is very light, that will hurt lateral force the tyre can take. Usually early porsches used to show 0.1°- 0.2° more negetive camber in the rear, compared to the front, because thats where the weight is. The heavy rear is also the reason for no pronounced "lift off oversteer", but brake oversteer when Brake power is 50/50. To counter that, LSD is set at a more agressive ramp at braking.

I still prefer a stable car that does not chew rubber too much, over an lose one, particularly after lap 10 on Nords onwards.

 

The Porsche 934 Turbo RSR in RaceRoom has a Steering Angle of 900 degree and Steering lock of 25.I think the Steering Angle is very high or to high for such a race car.
Compared to the AMS2 Porsche , imho i find it harder to drive the RaceRoom one,when cornering.I lowered the Steering Angle to 540 degree or so...still the cornering in narrow corners is hard,but you do not slip away with low speed if you take care.
In AMS2 it's vice versa.But i love it more.Who knows what is real in both cars.

What I saw there was a very cool piece of motorsport history with some of my childhood heroes doing battle on a track that doesn't even exist anymore. Then I thought of myself as a very excited 9 year old kid watching that on TV, then going and sitting in my Dad's car pretending to be A.J. Foyt. Each there own I guess.

Tried a few cars at Salvador, my fave so far is the Stock Car 2021.The Sprint Race struggle on the bumps making things difficult. I thought the Stock cars would be too much,but it’s a lot of fun.

 

Did you try out the BMW M1 Procar ? It's great fun to drive it at Salvador, need only to be very careful for the first chicane avoiding the bumps, need to line up before passing it.
