Automobilista 2 V1.2.4.1 & Monza DLC RELEASED - Now updated to V1.2.5.1

It would be even better if there are virtual pitboxes added, so you can have 32 people in a lobby at each track, and dont have to set lobby size to 20 to be able to drive the historic monza for example.

 

Afaik it's because 32 car grid is the max in the game atm.

 

yeah if that is the case why does suzuka have 52, jerez 42 etc, seems a bit inconsistent then to me

 

Then the numbers stated in the dedicated server are wrong, lol, that shows the number of boxes behind each track name, and the numbers i mentioned are shown there

I believe the tracks do have the IRL amount of pitboxes, but the limitation is the game, only allowing up to 32 drivers. A glimmer of hope for a future with 64 simultaneous drivers on track i guess.

 

Ah, just hoped that the cars' speed is shown, but it is replay speed only.
Wouldn't it be nice if car speed and gear would be displayed?

 

Well, last tuesday or wednesday i had 28 to 30 people in my lobby during my stream, that was a hell of a dream indeed lol

 

I am having massive performance issues in VR tonight….a complete stutter fest. I have validated all files and not changed any settings. Normally I have no issues but tonight was bad

anyone else affected?

I’ve not raced for a couple of moths due to other things in life, but when I start racing with Automobilista again, I think I fire up a completely different game than a few months ago. Great work Reiza..

 

And I messed up my chart... It's true, max pit stalls are 32. I corrected my chart, just in case anybody cares.

 

I am starting to notice some influx of people on mp lobbies and population charts and its not like we had a big update recently. Ofc, one of the reasons is the ongoing sale but anyway, I still think theres more and more people that are starting to enjoy this game. While , personally, I'm becoming a fanboy

 

I would like to start by congratulating Reiza on all they've acheived with this sim until now, it's really great! Although...

This latest update seems to have destroyed multiplayer,.so to speak, at least mutiplayer with the dedicated server.
I race with a league and we tried just now to have one of the races of our championship and 18 minutes into the race 8 player were disconnected with no apparent reason whatsoever... Me included.
We tried to restart, just to to have another 6-7 players get disconnected during the qualify session again.
Then, at last, we opened a lobby from the in-game menu and the race had, despite it being deactivated, ghost cars, different leaderboards between players at the end of the race and blue flags for people that were not backmarkers...
I don't know what's happenning, all I know is that last sunday none of this happened. We all love this sim very much, but how can we keep using it to race online, have live broadcasts and essentially encourage more and more people to buy it, if those things keep happening?
It's at the same time very sad and very infuriating...

 

I just did 3 races on my dedicated server, with between 12 to 28 people in, without issues, are you running the server on linux or windows, because on linux i experienced a lot of disconnects and other issues as well.

 

Same for us ,game ran fine for our league race ,we are on a rented DED from emperor..

 

It is running on windows...

 

With the game fully relying on Steam for networking, if Steam goes offline, everyone disconnects from their online sessions, whether it is P2P or DS.

If it is just a node that goes offline, then it is all the players connected to said node that go offline which explains why sometimes a group of people will randomly DC. Most likely they are from the same regions and connected to the same node.
