I like the update so far. I am now finally able to drive the p2 car. The ffb is now quite close to RF2. I prefer the default+ type. But I need some help with the settings with a CSW 2.5

Do we need to delete the tuningsetups folder even if we are in public release? Or only the ones that are in beta? (there is no automobilista 2 beta folder if you are on public release, that'w why)

the cockpit sound of the both TSI feels odd - like driving a diesel car. Especially below 3500rpm.

In chase came you could here an odd whine off throttle.

I'm also under the impression shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear kills the torque. According to the ingame screen the horsepower drops to 40hp@~3000rpm which seems to be odd - even for a street car.

The Brabham BT26A has a REIZA-emblem, all other Brabhams have a Brabham-emblem is this a issue?

I’m using these settings on my CSW2.5 with Default+.

    Fanatec settings:
    Steering Auto
    Overall ffb 100
    Drift mode -2
    Force effect intensity 50
    Force effect strength 100
    Spring 30
    Damper off
    [Sho] Vibration 100

    In game:
    Gain 60
    Lfb 2
    Fx 20
    Damper 20

Possibly room for improvement but it feels awesome to me rn.

Tuningsetups folder wipe is necessary no matter what.

3 cyl. engine. It's really a weird one, but it is, what it is! :D
Yeah we should ask VW what is up with 3rd gear. (Because gear ratios are correct)

I think there's a bug where the VW cars liveries conflict with custom Mini liveries. You will have to delete your custom mini liveries or wait for a fix.

I had the same thought when first driving these cars, but after watching the videos Renato posted of them scanning the cars, recording engine sounds, etc... They sound exactly like in the onboard videos.

Yea, I'm pretty sure the "beta" in the file path for the update notes is a mistake. You go into your Automobilista 2 folder inside "My Documents" and delete the savegame/usercode/automobilista 2/tuningsetups folder there.

Thanks, gave it a short try with default and default+.
Unfortunately. that is what I call no FFb at all. I can drive one handed all of the time but have absolutely no feeling for the track with this settings, everything feels flat. 8 seconds off my time with the Vee in Spielberg GP.
And as I stated before: I played AMS 2 today before the update with gain 100 (yeah, I like it strong) and low ffb set to 0-20. Now, I can max out everything and the FFb just feels odd.
Made a short cross check with Raceroom and RF2 - everything works fine, my wheel is not broken.

OK thanks. I verified the files and still see the same thing. I will try deleting the Mini liveries.

yup have been driving with it for the last few hours, I'm on a T300 as well, not feeling any significant difference in terms of strength. I usually run Gain at around 80ish and then adjust per car to taste.

I was using a custom file previous to the update. Default+ actually feels closer to the most recent custom files than the old default imo. What I always do when making an adjustment is set everything to zero and then dial in the gain, there's actually a lot of detail in just the gain on this new profile. Getting gain right by itself is more than half the battle, but if you're feeling a significant loss in terms of overall strength I'm not sure what to suggest.

Okay well, thats strange. I can't give much recommendation right now. Maybe try a recent rFuktor file, maybe @Peter Stefani or @Karsten Hvidberg could recommend you one for the TS 300?
