a modern day f1 car is nice to have, but personally, and i know there are more people who think that way, i dont understand why they dont finish up all the things in the several dlc packs/season pass first, this can come across as a slap in the face of people who see things get delayed several times, and only to see more unannounced new stuff getting released.

im sure there is some sort of an business idea behind it, but it might be a good thing to inform the community about why and which things are coming, also letting know what the status is with the historical tracks, i think that would be the most descent thing to do towards paying customers.

what i find strange otherwise is that there was a dev update written (or not), but that got delayed because of the world situation, whilst it only needed proofreading, yet now there is something else announced.

Yeah, there were even screenshots in the early days IIRC, but usually Reiza choose cars that somewhat fit the already existing classes, so both the 1988 MP4/4 (F-Classic Gen2) and the 1991 MP4/6 (F-Classic Gen3) would fit better. The MP4/5B is right in between. But who knows, maybe we get all of Senna's Championship winning McLarens, that would definitely be a nice collection :)

Uh I hope it's modelled after the Ferrari, that's such a pretty car this year <3

all i do hope is they add the option to hide or make the halo transparant, thats the biggest issue im having with the formula ultimate thats in the game right now

With all the new era F1 hype at the moment, this was inevitable. I didn't figure it'd be here till next year or fall at the earliest, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

Now we can have the sim purists complain that the cars don't porpoise enough. N9oKhuvEJJlLy.gif

Didn't people always complain that AMS2 was too bouncy? Maybe they'll now complain that it isn't bouncy enough :D

There are 2 released track DLCs with pending historical additions, Spa and and Nurburgring - one of them is currently being worked on, the other will come later in the year - both updates will feature reforms to the modern tracks at no additional charge for the packs containing them, which is one of the reasons why they have been delayed.

The schedule for the remaining DLC packages on the Season Pass remain fluid but they are all expected to arrive in 2022 - that has been the plan for over one year now and it remains the case, so no further updates to be given there.

The dev update was put on hold for various reasons, one of which to avoid the over-sharing of news too early causing this sort of user release anxiety - a policy I intend to adhere to as best as I can moving forward :) dev updates however are not part of the game, these are articles I write on my own time and they don’t preclude other standalone announcements for the game, nor does this new car preclude development of other bits of content which continue to progress in parallel.

Hope this makes things a bit more clear!

Good move, AMS2 still needs to attract a bigger user base and a realistic looking and driving ' 22 F1 car is ideal to hype up this game.
