I haven't used it myself, but I know some sim racers have been using an app called Joy2Key, which can map wheel buttons to regular keyboard buttons, so it should be possible to assign accordingly in game the actions you want those dpad buttons to do. Worth a try at least: JoyToKey - Download the Latest Official Version

Pit Menu is definitely much improved, but ultimately, all the pit strategies and all options in this menu must be button mappable. A user cannot adjust ICM menu options mid-race and maintain pace.

    • Caterham 620R: Fixed oil temp needle
    • ARC Camaro: Fixed oil temp needle
I'm afraid QA missed this one...The oil need remains in the red and never moves. Perhaps, you meant the engine temp needle? Perhaps, the code wasn't checked in or wasn't part of the pull request/build?

Especially true with buttkickers, when the entire rig starts shaking after pressing the start...

i haven’t experience the new ICM yet , But while it may temporarily break CChief, the way it’s described, i think it will perhaps make it far easier for CChief dev to assign voice and button commands.
as the old way was problematic for that.

    10. Wheel slip lights, and abs/tcs indicators in GT cars. Fix abs and tcs readings on the dashboards of cars like the mercedes and porsche GT3.

11.) drs and flag lights on the formula ultimate and formula reiza wheel to function. More realistic screen on the f-ultimate would also be appreciated.

12.) Pirelli wheels change colours depending on compound for formula ultimate and reiza

13.) Visual tyre wear, flatspotting, blisters and graining on the tyres of open wheelers. Bonus points if f-ultimate tyres are shiny out of the pits.

14.) Fix the driver model and shifting animations in many of the older cars. This ruins VR immersion. The worst offenders i can think of right now are the puma gt5 (where the steering. wheel clips through the driver legs), and the copa montana (no shift animation at all). Good to see some progress in this update in this regard.

Although it doesnt seem that Reiza are slowed in producing new content when simultaneously improving old content, which is good news i guess.

    Thanks for the big update!
I have not found this elsewhere in the forum.......
What are the differences between the 3 Gen's of F-USA, besides the chassis. Power etc.?

Perhaps, it's just me, but can anyone adjust the adjustable turbo?

Gen 1, the 1995 cars, should have a H pattern shifter and are proper Indycars.
Gen 2, 1998 cars, are a middle ground and have sequential transmissions and are from CART
Gen 3, 2000 car, have maximum downforce and horsepower. (and i think paddle shifters but might be wrong) and are also from CART.

You will see even bigger differences when and of the oval cars come out, because the low downforce kits changed quite a bit over those 5 years.

Lola and Reynard 95 have 6 speed sequential stick shifter gearboxes. It's true that the Reynard 94i was also used in 1995 and featured an H-Pattern.

    Still stick shift.

Only in the garage atm in pit set ups screen.
Another on the list of QOL fixes for that nice list above.

All 3 generations had sequential gearboxes actuated by a hand lever. I think it was around 1993 when Lola last had an H-Pattern gearbox.

Are all F-USA Gen1 cars supposed to have the exact same specs?
I remember with F-USA Gen2 they initially had the exact same specs but that was fixed later in an update.

I don't believe IndyCar or CART got full paddles and auto-blip until 2007-2008.

    CART 2006

    CART 2007

    IndyCar 2007

Spectacular update!! I like the adjustable side mirrors. And I am so glad they add the ability to adjust the seat in VR and World Scale...it's very convenient. As for the USA Formula Gen 1, it's going to be one of my favorite formula cars beside Gen 2. The cars seems to have better physics than other Gen...there is a lot more feedbacks if you ever drive in a motion rig and I like the bigger side mirrors. Maybe my mind is fooling me, but I feel the overall cars of all the cars seem to improve in physics and also better crash and damage. I haven't played with the ICM yet, but it looks promising.

Edit: Oh i forgot to mention. One negative I have about the update is in regard to the braking sound. Why does it make a squeaking noise every time you do a hard brake? Is this normal? I think that should be removed.

I thought I heard that, but wasn’t mentioned in blog.
I find it quite realistic and a nice addition albeit with limited testing.
