Highest significance is indeed less "bounce", less tire deflection and more consistent contact patch which leads to tires hugging the surface more consistently and also giving the cars suspension more control over balance and irregularities of the road.

You really have to try it by yourself to feel it, many described points in posts above are also desired outcomes, indeed. :)

With the sick new cockpit audio, this is as good as a new car. Much more nimble and lively in the rear. Unreal!

Let me just say.... I can't wait for the tire updates to flow down to the rest of the cars. The tires feel really good.

A replay of the Super V8 exiting Turn Two at old Kyalami now shows more realistic behaviour, I think. The car used to crab and bounce as the tyres lost grip and re-gripped throughout the curve. Now, vertical deflection is less visible and the car looks more planted.

I also think, it looks more like it now.

The track had 56°C track temp, so not easy on tires and it looks okay.

Does anyone else have a problem hearing the AI cars when using the Porsche Cup cars?

The constant camera changing makes me sick  I would like to see the car pass for longer. We see the car coming for a good amount but as soon as the car gets to the camera it changes again.

Handling is hard to judge from the replay though.

    • Updated trackside cameras for all Hockenheim Historic tracks
This is a big one for me. The 1988 track had an issue for the longest time, with the replays, where it would get stuck on one camera in sector two, leaving you looking at trees for 30 seconds lol.

A short practice session at summery Monza and it all makes sense now. Tires up to temp in a lap or 2, nice and even if you don't drive it like a madlad. Waaaaay easier to get the rear out now, like I'd expect it to. General car behaviour that feels much more intuitive when you gun it through Ascari and pretend those sausages and stuff don't exist. The sense of accomplishment when you just about save it.

This... this is the feel and the ride I was looking for just over 2 years ago with the early access.
I was already smitten by the DPi before, but man, as far as high-downforce endurance stuff goes, does it really get any better?

I'm very grateful for this, you guys are killing it one update at a time.

Now if Fanatec can ship my DD wheel and stuff, I shall retreat from the outside world altogether, and race happily ever after.

Wow, another decent update. I've put the updated Porsche Cup for a spin (literally) and wow - it sounds very good indeed. It now have still very happy tail, but it felt more predictable. Apart from switching from gear 1 to 2 while on a curve is a no-no, it drives very nicely.
Super V8 I'd love to say the same, but I still can't tame those beasts :( Not sure if they drive better, I still can't learn the throttle control for them.

Generally some good fixes all around, tweaks across loads of other cars and tracks. Thank you Reiza!

Whilst I still have a couple of triggering issues at Bathurst, these cameras are based on TV broadcast cameras at the time.

It is on the list to get some love to iron out a couple of the trigger issues though.

That definetly but the the way, the car is moving in general over the track surface and kerbs is a good indicator of how well it hugs the road surface. Watching external replays does have some value because of that. (Another example would be the oscillations of Porsches over the Imola sausages we had before the revision)

How does release candidate impact on online multiplayer? People on different builds all racing together?

Thank you so much for this small but yet huge QOL fix.
Step one, stall car so i can hear the start procedure over at my own speed. Sound is a great improvement. Now to have the auto start bug fixed please, let us use ignition and start buttons properly.

As reported, cant hear the Ai engine audio.

Is it just me , or has anyone else found it very difficult to get full brake pressure, I can’t seem to even get 100% in calibration, so just wondering if it’s something in the update or I’ve got other issues.

With my old Fanatec V2 pedals this always happened just as the load cell began to die...
