Automobilista 2 V1.3.8.1 Oficially Released - Now Updated to V1.3.8.3

There is a bug in spielberg gp with formula ultimate gen-2. When two cars are side by side, one enter in the pit sometimes.

 

Yeah, we are running a hotlap competition with the f-ultimate gen2, currently on spielberg, fastest time set so far is a 1:02:337, which is quite a lot quicker then in real life, however, this was set just before the update

 

Meanwhile in real life (and strangely not in assetto corsa)

 

I relate to that immensely

 

Waiting for the Nils Naujoks video about how simcade real life is because he just runs over that kerb and nothing happens.

 

In a competition of "Assetto Corsa making your car uncontrollably spin" would going over a kerb win or would slightly tapping an AI car (from any direction, the game isn't prejudiced) win?

 

There is a distinct lack of aero drag (my guess) in several cars which causes insane top speeds and makes them go much faster than what they should. It's something that has been reported several times. I don't know if Reiza has other priorities or if it's not as low hanging fruit as it would seem.

 

After playing R3E again for 2 weeks, i like the MP/ranking and the drive feeling/physics most atm i changed to AMS2 for a test drive (4hrs) with Prosche GT4 (Nürburgring) and i find the car is much to slidey, you only have to shift/brake aggressively and throw the car in to slide fast through corners. A very unnatural behaviour if you look at RL onboards and the laptimes are far beyond reality cause many exploid that "catch every slide with throttle" etc. . That and the awful UI and missing MP is why i won´t touch AMS2 anymore for a certain time. I´ll wait till the Sim is closer to real driving. Maybe that happens, hope it but i think sth is to "wild" underneath the hood of the physics engine. Sad but ture imo.

Same with the F309. Maybe its a step back so they can make 2 forward?

Regarding MP, jumping from rF2 to AMS2 hurts a lot. In rF2 I'm actually able to race closely, but in AMS2 it is simply impossible. And bear in mind, it was close racing vs the very same person.

 

Why so toxic, it would be good for you if AMS2 improves.

Everyone can speak his mind here. If iam not satisfied with some aspects of AMS2 i can write about it. Nothing is perfect or close to.

 

On the other hand the AI jump on the brakes way too early there and surprise you with that.

 

And i don't like comparisons with others sims/games wich are not the "mother of it all" in relation to your arguments that the engine can not handle your expectations in physics.

 

Maybe he is not satisfied how the engine is set in it´s current state, i think the engine should be capable of "dialing in" every car behaviour sooner or later. Imo it´s a process AMS2 went through, and yes imo it´s very rough on the edges and still has to go a long way.

Now, I think there are users here who way too often do the good ol' brazilian saying of "passando o pano" to the game.

 

Nothing wrong about constructive criticism but I'm often suspicious about people who come to a forum, name the sim of their choice and compare apples with oranges in the following. I like Raceroom but honestly....the engine is ancient and it is the least advanced sim we have. Also AMS2 is just two years old and it's constantly improving.

I'll admit that the MP in AMS2 needs attention though.
