    Thanks mate ,
    That's what I thought too.
    But I was testing this out recently with a 35 lap race at Laguna seca.
    The FCY periods I had were all one lap.

    They were pretty early on , could that be why ?

    Thanks for the video compare.
    I hope the high pitched gamers who does argue that the camera movement in AMS2 needs to be smoothed out if it shal be considered realistic.

    EDIT: Hope it is obvious something was missing in my comment above :)
    I hope the high pitched gamers - DOES SEE THIS

    If the FCY happened early in a pretty long race it should be 3 laps as far as I remember: the lap of the accident, the next lap and restart happens at the end of the subsequent one.
    I know that there is a residual time in the race treshold beyond which the procedure is shortened by one lap. Laguna is a pretty short laptime track. Did you try the same on a longer track by chance?

    Don't forget that cameras in cars are fixed and move with every bump the car experiences. Our eyes are NOT fixed to the cars and are able to dampen and smooth out most bumps. So this isn't really a factual argument.

    Look at a door knob 15 feet away from you and move your head around a little, your eyes will keep fixed on the knob. Now, if you had a GoPro mounted on your head, do you think that the camera would remain fixed on the knob?

    I definitely think the replay cameras could have some more movement and vibration.

    I prefer the camera more static when driving so I feel more connected to it.

    Thats a good way to put it, there isn't loss of momentum for driving beyond the limit. One reason 'the limit' is 'the limit' is because it's the most efficient way to drive fast and keep momentum through the corners. Whereas in AMS2 you can just power through.

    Still I'd rather be able to drive over the limit without spearing into a wall like in iRacing. It's like they have a sophisticated model up to the limit then
    if(car > limit)
    {
    crash(car);
    }

    Well if the last one was the end of October and they're every two months..... gee, I would guess late December.

    *Of course, there may be good reason to move that forwards or backwards, but that's the last info we have.

    Hi, for me it crashed 2 times when trying to run in Road America, but that was about 10 days ago. I’ll try again this weekend.

    Gave it one more try: Stockcars 1999 work fine on oval tracks (Indy, Fontana), but when I want to race on a non oval course, game crashes while loading.Weird.

    I have the same problem, I even posted about it in the "bugs" forum. I tried running a race with the 1999 BSC at Jacarepagua both layouts and the game crashed.

    Edit: according to the forum administrator, that bug will be sorted out in the next update.

    This would be great. It looks completely murderous! There's even a hump-backed bridge...in an F1 race :eek:

    What track/car combination for crash? I've had no issues so far.
    Edit: Ah yeah. Monza gets a CTD.

    I love how diverse the cars looked in that era. So many different takes on what a front wing should be: boxy with radiators, swooped fighter jet-esque shapes, the little low drag wings, etc. For how advanced flight tech was at the time, car aerodynamics was still a black art.

    Christmas Eve...no point in asking about it before then.
