Ok I have to say this. I do not like the new FFB being controlled by different scripts in the RC build now. Infact I'll go one further! I HATE IT! Please change it back!

Before the different steering locks were contolled by the wheels driver software I think. My wheel would get to what ever the lock of the car was and stop, and i mean stop hard!

Now with it being controlled by different scripts the wheel gets to its lock and hits a soft lock instead, meaning it just adds a bit more tension and you can keep turning after the stop.

I hate this, and i've never said this before in here but its a deal breaker for me, totally ruins the experience, totally unrealistic, cannot put up with it! When you are turniong hard or counter steering you can easily go over the lock point, which is super bad in all sorts of ways im not even gunna go into.

I don't understand why on earth this move has been made but its a bad one.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change it back, or at least give us the option in the game to let us have the wheel controller though the wheel driver software again, as the only reason I can think that this has been done is that maybe it does'nt work with some of the lower end wheels that well.

Anyway please don't do this as its ruined one of my favorite sims,

P.P.S. I cried so hard I slipped on my own tears and cracked my head open on the floor and now I'm dead! Now I've got a bloody funeral to organise and all sorts of problems!

It's going to be very expensive and I will probably have to get a job haunting as a ghost to pay for it. See how serious this is!

Please give us back the hard stops!

P.P.P.S I've just got to the job centre for the dead and Ayrton Senna is here, he asked me how I got here so I told him and he agrees with me! He says give back the hard stops to prevent more expensive funerals! He's getting a job as a ghost writer on racing just for something to do, says it's a bit boring here in the after life, apart from the one perk which was God granting him the right to drive any car he likes up here, but it's still not good as the roads here are rubbish! Says driving through clouds all the time really messes with the engine!

Yep, i've always had it on auto in this sim and of course its calibrated. No there is no hard lock anymore just more tension. I can't stand it! Please give us the hard locks back, at least as just an option.

Im really upset about this as they've given me a job haunting Borris Johnson and its horrible as his haircut scares me more than I scare him, so im rubbish at it and am probably going to get the sack!
I mean im dead FFS, things just could'nt really get any worse!

Btw I've never suffered from any wheel oscillating problems, (that on a Fanatec CSW 2.5).
It really needs sorting as this jobs getting worse, they sent me in to haunt Borris at night and when I loomed into his bedroom he was getting it on! It was horrible! Nobody needs to see that, especially after going through death, all the paper work and everything else! I tell you this job is worse for us ghosts than it is the folks we're haunting!

What is this hard-/soft lock drama all about? Maybe I have wrong driving technique but in 99,9% of my driving time I never reach this locking point at all?! Could only imagine to turn the wheel that much in a rally game…

if you're banging the lock stops hard and frequent enough to be an issue for you then your driving seriously needs adjusting lol

 

Maybe a solution could be to offer different locks in the FFB setting? For example, being able to choose between the current hard lock and having a softer lock where it simply loses FFB after lock is achieved (like what AC does)
