Just had a thought, dunno if this has been mentioned before but, will we be seeing the Metalmoro MR18 from AMS1 & The Reiza Pack for RF2 at any point in AMS2?

 

A collaboration between Panoz and Zytek created one of the earliest hybrid race cars that competed in competition. The Zytek-built magnet DC motor helped the 6 liter Ford V8 during acceleration and with regenerative braking charged the batteries located in passenger seat area of the Q9.

The Q9 or "Sparky" was then entered to run in the 1998 24 hours of Le Mans. The lack of testing time and the weight of the hybrid system itself resulted the car not qualifying for the event by a small margin. Later that year, "Sparky" did race in the inaugural Petit Le Mans where the car finished 12th overall.

Yep! If you bought the full pack. There were two seperate car and track packs aswell so it would come in the car pack, also you could buy it as a standalone car

That "small margin" was about 10 seconds, but would be really cool to see this car along with its normal variant for sure.

100%. Fanboost can go away. Attack mode is tons of fun (and way more strategic than DRS or other similar boost methods). And agree the touring car style driving (wheel to wheel where a little contact is a-ok and almost encouraged) is super exciting. While it is mostly spec, it's till 100% one of the most competitive series (for any driver on the grid to have a chance) out there, next to IndyCar.

 

Exactly this. Also for those who don't know, Formula E cars don't start the race with enough energy to finish it... they need those heavy braking zones (tight chicanes and hairpins) because of this. So for "real" courses to work, they'd have to be extremely picky to where they run, or make temporary modifications like when they ran at Valencia. The tracks have got better since the early seasons, but will only improve over time as the technology allows it... also the Gen3 car being smaller and faster will be super exciting, even on the signature tight courses.

 

Isn't some sort of charging system being introduced as well? I remember hearing something about that but that could've been them talking about goals for the Gen 4 car or something
