The setups are wonky , have been. You’ve got to hold your mouth just right and left hand in the air to get the right one on track :p

Seriously though, these new builds and after a patch here, I load default, make a few monitor changes, save, go to track and I’m exiting I see the old setup pop back up. I return to the garage then my saved set is there. If I don’t do that and I have their default, when I hit the track, it’s some different BS! Pita

Thanks Reiza, great job. I'm so happy the dashboards now show proper TC/ABS values. Now if we can just get an option to disable those pesky HUD messages when changing these values... Previous builds would disable these messages if HUD was set to off. I love running no HUD in VR and these messages aren't the best for immersion.

Re: the corvette, bt62 and senna tires. They are competition semi slicks, with a much more firm sidewall.

In order to drift the Z06, try non-optimal tire pressures, on the rear. Either too low to make the tire less firm, or increase the pressure to decrease the contact patch. Also, try reducing the rear camber and “0” out the rear toe in.

How are you doing that? I just get a 'no hardware connected' sort of message.

Try locking the diff and not using fresh tires. If you use fresh ones, they’ll tend to want to grip up unless you massively overheat them.

I use a Xbox 360 wired controller. I select "custom wheel" instead of gamepad, then setup some basic buttons in the button assignment tab (throttle, brake, steering left/right, changing gears, you have to set those buttons before doing any calibration), after that I select "calibrate wheel", on the first one I move the analog stick all the way to either left or right so that the game will use the full range of motion of the analog stick, on the next one I move the analog stick just the right amount to get the steering wheel range that I want (moving the analog stick all the way to either left or right will result in 180 degrees of steering wheel range, I move it just enough to get the steering wheel range value that I want like 480 degrees mentioned in my other post) then press A on the controller to confirm.

I think it's been mentioned before. But some area of the car selection screen that gave a few points like these and the effects on car feel, might go some way to reducing confusion.

Possibly on the tracks screen too, if grip varies by track surface.

Wut? This is right out of the garage, tires are 100% and I’m not doing it trying to do burnouts

Well, that didn't work for me, (I use an Xbox One controller mostly, alongside a TM wheel), but we do need a conversation about controller support in AMS2. It's pretty damned shocking, I'm sorry to say.

Taking the new cars for a spin around Long Beach and Silverstone, the haptics only work for gravel, grass and gear changes, while on Spa, some of the rumble strips work, but many speed bumps and communicating surfaces just don't. It's been like that for ages now too, and it's a bad look for the game. I mean, it's not rF2 bad (i.e. none), but it's getting there, update by update.

    What's the story, Reiza?

Just doing a bunch of laps around Imola 88 with the Brabham BT52, the sound is incredible, feels great. The only issue is the ai are slow, I'm not an alien by any means but I had to have the ai cranked to 115. SO MUCH FUN!

I think I'm experiencing an audio bug with the 1990 and 1991 Mclaren (haven't tried '88 yet), whereas I hear the sample that is used when you hit the rev limiter mid revs when accelerating. Almost sounds like you're grinding gears. I double checked and I wasn't hitting the rev limiter.

Hey mate hope you've had a great Crimbo!

Afraid I don't think its that. These 3 cars all run Comp slicks and yet there are no such issues with the Brab or the Macka. This Vette has serious issues trust me! I'm not the only person to have picked up on this and what makes it more evident there's something wrong is that when getting it properly sideways on full lock, when the wheel hits full lock there is some awfully bad behaviour! I mean my cockpit is pretty damn sturdy but its so violent im scared to use the car! My wheel dont bounce like that on its hard stops, and it don't bounce like that with anything!

Maybe summits up with the FFB code, maybe thats also whats causing the massive snap (even when not hitting full lock) oversteer I dunno. It might be down to the FFB, rather than the car or tire physic's. I could be wrong, but thats my hunch

The Hypercars are easier to drift by miles, and thats without messing with tire pressures or camber!

P.S. I think I love the brab, apart from in the wet, lol my old 1988 Ford Escort could corner faster in the wet, but then that was'nt on more heat dependant semi slicks! Lol!

I'm sure it's been reported or notices but the Gen 4 McLaren seems to be considered a separate class and always starts at the back during not qualifying races.

Sorry after a bit more testing I think I may have made a mistake and understated my feelings about the Brab.... OH MY FREAKING GOD I LOVE THIS CAR! Can you marry a car and where do I sign the papers!

I recently made a video in which I stated that I think the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) in Rfactor is one of the best cars in sim racing! Well holy crap Christmas does'nt get much better than getting two of the best cars in sim racing! This Beastie is Awsome!!!! But can we get some wet tires for it please? Oh, and some full soft racing slicks, I wanna know what this dancer can do in all its shoes!

Please keep updating the gamepad settings. The BT52 is a joy to drive with gamepad.

I suspect you are talking about the F-Classics Gen 4 car. If you forget to lift when you shift (sequential), the car will hit the rev limiter briefly between shifts and make that noise. It's also a great way to destroy the gear box prematurely ;)

I just tested out all the new cars...and I got to be honest...I am not impressed with any of them. The MP4 formula sound a bit interesting though (I like especially the handling). Group C Nissan seems fine. Not impress with any of the Super Cars or Hyper Cars, the handling and weight aren't realistic enough for me. My still go-2-car are Formula V10 Gen 2, GT1 Mercedes Benz and all of the Formula USA. None of the cars feel right to me...if you have motion rig, DD1 and VR...you know what I mean. Also, the wall sound reflection is still non-existent in VR. The pre-set custom events doesn't appeal me...I rather have pre-set custom weather/settings.
