Seems with this release the game now doesn’t remember which car you were driving between game starts. I’m driving the Porsche gt4 but every time I start the game now it starts with the very last car in the list of all the cars…. Bought the super car dlc last… do I need to remove the documents folder again?

I watched a couple of AI races before and noticed some improvement here.
I saw more overtakes (see screenshots), less jerkiness and most importantly, less clustering into groups.
It seems the improvements are incremental and it's not perfect - but on the right path.
And the rest of the update looks awesome. I'm about to explore it some more. :) ss214822.jpg ss152223.jpg

Better to have ai which is improving than no AI until it’s perfect ;)

The Brabham BT46B (the fan car) had the numbers 1 and 2 in former builds, like it was in real life. It was now replaced with 11 and 22. Does anybody know the reason?

Ok here we go again with the Group C BoP, but anyone feel like the R89C is a bit too fast compared to the others? Or at least too easy to drive fast? I feel like it's powerful like the C9 but easy to trow around like the 962.

Is there a way to remove the rev limiter bip? Would be nice if it was possible to do it.

It is/can be faster, yes. In real life, the car was troubled with reliability issues and had a lot of DNFs.

I don't know how it is with AMDM and how reliability differences between each car within a class is simulated, but it would be cool if it were so that you could choose between driving a "faster but unreliable" vs. driving a "slower but more reliable" car, and let that be a sort of pseudo-BoP.

I'm pretty sure that there already are some differences like this due to the different hardware in each car, especially when it comes to e.g. the F-Retro G3 class where the turbo cars are more unreliable than the naturally aspirated cars… but I don't know if these factors have been intentionally tuned as a kind of pseudo-BoP effect by Reiza, or if it's just an effort to "put the real numbers in" and let chips fall where they may according to the internal workings of the sim…

Had a race at estoril 88 tonight in the Nissan gt3 and even with an understeery setup it was very twitchy especially when entering and exiting corners, much more than I would expect a gt3 car to. Anyone else notice this? It felt like it had that pivot point thing that cars had earlier on.

I think there is lack of BoP in F-Retro Gen2 cars. Brabham BT46B is way too fast comparing to other cars. Other cars have power understeer and I tried tweak differential but no avail. Noticed no significant changes. This happen mostly in slow corners. Maybe too low front grip?

Times in test day Estoril 88:

    BT46B: 1.23.5
Few gear changes otherwise default settings

    BT49: 1.25.3
Default settings with few tweaks I tried to do with differential and downforce

    Generic Gen2 Model: 1.28.5
Default settings with few tweaks I tried to do with differential

    Lotus 79: 1.27.1
Default settings with few tweaks I tried to do with differential

Might remember some times wrong but should be those I mentioned. Maybe try to change my driving style and try different settings.

Can you check how good the fan car was IRL?

Yeah I dont quite understand how AMDM affect the player's car, I think it's more related on how you tune cooling and such, not car specific reliability? I know I can change that for the AI, I did that for some of the Corvettes already.
But in the end I think it would just be better if the R89C would be a bit more of a handful to drive like the C9 or even the Corvette can be sometimes.

I also felt that, looks like it doesnt like too much sharp imputs, I kindda got used to it after some laps, but it's still more twitchy than it should be maybe.

I can't check right now, but does the Lotus 79 have the dark green 1 and 2 liveries from 1980?

I know how fast it was. Full tank in qualify and took pole. :D If that fuel load was true.
