The short answer is yes. AMS2 uses a physical tire model called SETA which has several heat layers. How they interact determines how the tires heat. The most noticeable for the player are flash/tread heat from continuously overcooking the tires and internal temperature buildup from overstressing the tires over the course of a stint. Flash would occur during spinouts or lockups or long or consecutive HS corners.

So for example, a car might understeer for several corners after a lockup, or gradually lose front grip over a HS corner or be prone to be loose after a spinout, until the flash/tread temps cool. On the other side of the coin is continuous overdriving, which slowly builds heat. If the fronts are effected, you'll experience a gradual tendency to understeer. if the rears build up, a looser and looser rear, until the margin of error is so small, the car will spin out.

Raced another race in Silverstone 91. F-Classic Gen4. Same thing happened here for McLarens. Both started at back of grid. Lucky third place to me. AI crashed in front of me, made block for other cars and I slipped by. Fastest lap in the end. 120 dif and 16 laps. Homeboy won and his team mate came second. ;) I Drove Model 3 V8. I think that car is too fast comparing other cars around in that class. Top speed is slowest but other areas that car is a beast. In Monza test day I was fastest with that car. Almost zero downforce with all cars when tested. Maybe that car fits my driving style.

    Qucik questions
How do i make the Nissan stop oversteering on corner exit when on throttle? Will you change the default setup to make them less oversteery and why aren't the clutches setup so you can just jump in and don't have to make changes?

This is just my thoughts btw:
    Really like these:
    Free:
    • Added Nissan R89C to Group C class
    • Added Nissan R390 GT1 to GT1 class
    • Added 2017 Nissan GT-R to GT3 class
    • Added new F-Classic Gen3 class (4 generic models)
Would love you guys to add the Bentley Continental GT3 car please - happy for that to be a stand alone DLC!

No real interest in any of the below DLC packs, and how they've been split up sorry - who comes up with these packs and are you guys actually reading the post here of on FB as to what people have been asking for for?

    Brazilian Racing Legends Pt1 DLC:
    • Added Brabham BT49 to F-Retro Gen2 Class
    • Added Brabham BT52 to Formula Retro Gen3 Class
    • Added Lotus 98T to F-Classic Gen1 Class
    • Added Mclaren MP4/4 to F-Classic Gen2 Class
    • Added Mclaren MP4/5B to F-Classic Gen3 class
    • Added Mclaren MP4/6 to F-Classic Gen4 class

    Supercars Pt1 DLC:
    • Added Mclaren Senna, Brabham BT62 to new Hypercars Class
    • Added Corvette C8 Z06 to Supercars Class

    Historical Track Pack DLC:
    • Added Cascais 1988
    • Added Jerez 1988
I might get the track pack just for the old Bathurst after it's released..

Thanks again for the update guys, but I hope you start paying attention to what your customers want, rather than what you guys want to serve up - eg the ability to share setups in an online server, rather than relying on the time trials (which are hit and miss atm imoh anyway).

    Cheers.

don’t understand what you mean by the way the DLC packs have been designed.

if you love retro F1 there’s a pack for you , if you love road cars there’s a pack for you, and if you want some great historic versions of well known tracks , ( and don’t undersell how good the first two are , and old Bathurst is going to be the icing on the cake ) then there’s a pack for you .

Not sure where you've been looking but I think the Brazilian legends pack is one of, if not the, best received DLCs for the game.

big thanks for the comprehensive reply
Good that these advanced features are included
Think maybe in comparison iracings result of overheating tyres seems more exaggerated

no criticism of either title just an observation

As there is no traction wheel in airplanes, I count as "drift" any side slide. The tail will always have too little traction, so I found that drift the base wheels is more satisfactory.

You can do small drifts with the Spit over dirt, but on tarmac will have to gentle touch the ground with your wing and them can do some long radius drifting... not the ideal, but always the more stylish. With the 109 it's suicide, the P-51 and P-47 are too sluggish on ground, the 190 is good for power slide but sluggish to long radius drifts and never tried with a Zero, but believe that the first variants could do some touge level stuff. Once, I did some unintended Arabian Drift with a Yak-1 when landing with heavy wind... the plane survived, but not my pride lol

That is the thing with AMS2 public lobby MP.

Someone earlier said AC is basically used for roaming and drifting. Well, if the logic behind that sentence is true, then AMS2 is basically used for hotlapping.

    So do I.
That ok, its the beauty of having choices.
That could be seen/ perceived as a little rude.

    Just my thoughts btw.

Agreed the bentley is a really interesting car when it shows up. I think its in r3e and rF2 and of course acc. PC2 had the old model Bentley but Reiza did port the old model of nissan gtr to ams2 so we’ll see…

Same thing happened with F-Classic Gen1 and Gen2. McLarens and Lotuses were back of the grid. Hopefully fix come soon. Other Lotus driver came 5:th and put fastest lap time. Some AI drivers are aliens, 2-3 seconds faster than others. :D Gen2 turbos were about 2-3 seconds slower than NA cars. This was in Silverstone 91.

What was the point of that post? Wouldn’t it have been more productive if you just said ‘hey guys, are there any plans for adding the Bentley? Also will there be any further development on the time trials like the ability to share setups online?’

Adding this beauty and not adding the speed 8 as well would be a crime
